Fits Mova 305 handset; replaces OEM battery part reference for this model.
3.7V, 1500mAh lithium-polymer cell restores full call, messaging, and app runtime on degraded packs.
Connector type and orientation match Mova 305 factory slot without modification or adapter.
We bench-tested against the OEM discharge curve; BMS accepted charge cycles and held nominal voltage.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle to let the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell curve before high-current charging.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

mova 305 — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery

This 3.7V, 1500mAh Li-Polymer cell is a direct replacement for the mova 305 smartphone. It fits the 305 handset and restores power to calls, messaging, and apps. Capacity is 1500mAh (5.55Wh), matching the original cell specification.

  • mova 305 fit: The 305 uses a slim Li-Polymer pouch cell running a 3.7V nominal rail. The charge IC and BMS on this handset expect a single-cell lithium profile — this replacement cell matches that profile, including the cutoff and charge termination voltages the board recognises.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge under load typical of smartphone operation. The BMS held cutoff correctly at the low-voltage threshold and accepted charge termination without error flags on the host board.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first cycle: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-charge cycle at standard rate. This gives the fuel gauge IC time to map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated state.

Why the mova 305 reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap

The mova 305 uses a fuel gauge IC that builds its charge estimate from the discharge curve of the old cell. When a new cell goes in, the IC is still referencing the old curve — so the percentage it reports can be off by 15–25%. The fix is one full uninterrupted discharge down to automatic shutdown, followed by a full charge to 100%. After that cycle, the coulomb counter resets its baseline against the new cell and readings stabilise. Do not top up or interrupt mid-cycle — a partial cycle does not trigger a full recalibration.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

This happens when the cell voltage drops faster than the fuel gauge predicted — the phone's processor or modem draws a burst of current, voltage sags below the BMS cutoff threshold, and the device shuts off even though the reported percentage still looked safe. A fresh Li-Polymer cell at room temperature should hold above 3.5V under load at 20% charge. If shutdowns persist after one full recalibration cycle, check that the battery connector is seated fully — a high-resistance connection amplifies voltage sag under load and triggers premature cutoff.

Frequently Asked Questions

The mova 305 won't power on at all after sitting in a drawer for months — is the battery dead?

Most likely the BMS has locked out the cell because voltage dropped below 2.5V during storage. At that level, the protection circuit disconnects the cell to prevent damage and the phone shows nothing when you press power. Plug into a wall charger — not a PC USB port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing anything. If the charge IC on the board can deliver a trickle pre-charge, it will bring the cell back above the BMS re-enable threshold, typically 2.9–3.0V, and the phone will boot normally.

Fast charging stopped working after I fitted the replacement battery — the mova 305 only charges slowly now.

On the first charge cycle after a cell swap, the charge IC sometimes falls back to standard 5V charging because the handshake between the USB-PD controller and the new BMS has not completed. This is normal behaviour on the first cycle. Disconnect the charger fully, power the phone off, then reconnect — the protocol negotiation restarts from scratch and fast charge typically resumes. If it does not resume after two attempts, complete one full standard-rate charge cycle first, then retest fast charging.

The battery percentage on my mova 305 jumps around erratically — it reads 60%, drops to 30%, then jumps back up.

Erratic percentage jumps are a fuel gauge IC recalibration symptom, not a faulty cell. The coulomb counter lost its reference point — common after a battery swap or after the phone was left to fully discharge in storage. Run one complete cycle: drain the phone until it shuts itself off automatically, then charge uninterrupted to 100% on a wall charger. The fuel gauge resets its zero and full-charge endpoints against the actual cell, and percentage readings stabilise within that single cycle.
