Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Nautiz X3 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (BT2330)
This is a 3.7V, 3000mAh (11.1Wh) Li-ion replacement battery for the Nautiz X3 rugged handheld computer. The X3 is used in logistics and retail environments for barcode scanning, inventory management, and asset tracking. This pack replaces OEM part numbers BT2330 and MPF0913540 directly.
- Nautiz X3 fitment: The X3 uses a dedicated battery bay with a fixed connector pinout and BMS handshake protocol. This pack matches that pinout and communicates correctly with the X3's onboard fuel gauge — the device will display charge percentage as expected, not just a static icon.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through scan-burst and wireless polling loads simultaneously. The BMS handled the combined inrush without triggering a false low-voltage cutoff, and the fuel gauge readings stayed consistent across charge states.
- First-shift preparation for pick-and-pack: Before the first shift, seat the scanner in its cradle and run a full charge cycle. The scan trigger draws peak inrush current at low cell voltage, and a cell that starts the shift fully charged avoids BMS trips during the first hour of heavy scanning.
Why the Nautiz X3 drops wireless connection during rapid scan bursts
The X3 runs its wireless radio and scan engine from the same cell. During a rapid scan burst, both draw current at the same moment — the scan trigger fires while the radio is mid-transmission. On a degraded or low cell, this combined inrush pulls voltage below the BMS threshold and the radio drops. The fix is not a reset — it is keeping the cell above 50% during high-frequency scan sessions. A fresh, fully charged pack eliminates the voltage sag that triggers the drop.
Cradle showing a charging error after installing the new pack
A charging error on the cradle almost always comes from contact resistance at the battery terminals, not a fault in the pack itself. Warehouse dust and handling residue build up on the gold pads and break the low-voltage signal the cradle uses to verify pack identity. Remove the battery, wipe both the pack contacts and the cradle pins with a dry cloth, then reseat firmly until you hear the click. The error clears once contact resistance drops below the cradle's detection threshold — typically under 0.5 ohms.

Frequently Asked Questions
The Nautiz X3 stops reading barcodes after I swap the battery — the trigger fires but nothing scans
The scan engine needs a minimum voltage to drive the laser or imager at full intensity. When a new pack is installed and immediately put to work at a low state of charge, the scan engine receives just enough power to fire but not enough to read. Place the X3 in the cradle and charge to full before the first use — once the cell is above 3.9V, the imager powers correctly and reads without hesitation.
The X3 runs noticeably warm after a full shift — is that the battery?
Sustained heat on the X3 after a long shift is normal under combined wireless polling and continuous scan load inside a compact, enclosed housing. The cell does generate heat under that draw, and the housing has limited airflow. What to watch for is heat concentrated at the battery bay rather than spread across the device — localised battery heat that persists after the shift ends can indicate a cell that is struggling under load. Check the charge level at shift end; a healthy 3000mAh pack should still read above 3.5V after a standard shift.
My previous battery lasted a full shift — this new one seems shorter even though it's the same capacity
Shallow cycling is the most common cause. If the X3 is dropped onto the cradle between every task and topped up from 80%, the BMS learns a compressed charge window and the fuel gauge calibration drifts. Run the pack from a full charge down to the low-battery warning without interrupting it for the first three cycles — this recalibrates the fuel gauge and allows the BMS to map the full usable capacity of the 3000mAh cell.
