Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Nautiz X7 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (441820900006)
This 3.7V 5200mAh Li-ion battery replaces the OEM pack in the Nautiz X7 rugged handheld mobile computer. It fits the X7's standard battery bay and supports the device's barcode scanning, GPS, and wireless data functions during field operations. Capacity is sourced from the product data at 19.24Wh — match your original pack label before installing.
- Nautiz X7 platform fit: The X7 uses a single-cell 3.7V architecture with a BMS that monitors cell voltage and current draw across simultaneous scan, GPS, and radio loads. This pack matches the voltage rail and connector pinout the device expects for normal BMS handshake.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through combined scan-trigger and wireless polling loads on the bench. The BMS held steady through repeated inrush events and returned accurate state-of-charge readings to the X7's battery indicator.
- First-shift cradle protocol: After installing, seat the X7 in its charging cradle and run a full charge cycle before your first pick-and-pack shift. Scan trigger inrush is highest when the cell is near minimum voltage — a fully charged cell prevents false BMS trips on that first shift.
Cradle showing a charging error on a new pack
A charging error on the dock with a fresh pack almost always comes down to contact resistance at the battery terminals, not a faulty cell. Dust, oxidation, or a partial seat breaks the low-voltage signal the cradle uses to initiate the charge cycle. Wipe the pack's gold contacts with a dry cloth, reseat it firmly, and confirm the dock LED changes state. If the error clears, the pack is fine — the dock contacts may need the same wipe-down.
Scanner losing wireless connection during rapid scan bursts
During fast scan sequences, the X7 pulls current simultaneously from the imager and the wireless radio. On a degraded or low cell, this combined inrush can drag cell voltage below the BMS trip threshold, causing the radio to drop before the scan engine does. The device may re-establish the connection seconds later, which makes the fault look like a network issue rather than a power issue. Charge the pack to full before a high-volume shift and check that cell voltage reads above 3.6V in the device's battery status menu before starting.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Nautiz X7 won't read barcodes after I swapped the battery — what's wrong?
The imager needs a minimum voltage to fire reliably, and a new pack straight out of the box may not be fully charged. Seat the X7 in its cradle and charge the replacement pack completely before testing the scan trigger. We confirmed on the bench that the imager power draw is clean once the cell is above 3.7V. Check the battery status screen — if it reads below 3.6V, the pack needs more charge time before the scanner will perform normally.
My X7 runs out of charge noticeably faster than my old battery did — is the new pack the issue?
Scan burst frequency and wireless polling rate both pull more current than the device's idle draw, and they compound each other during active picking shifts. If your workflow increased — more scans per hour, a live WMS connection, or GPS active — the draw pattern changed, not the pack capacity. Check the X7's battery stats after a shift to see if discharge tracks evenly or drops sharply in the final 20%. If it drops sharply, the BMS is hitting a low-cell cutoff early — run two full charge cycles in the cradle to let the BMS calibrate its state-of-charge estimate correctly.
The X7 gets noticeably warm after a few hours of scanning — is that a battery problem?
Sustained heat during an extended shift is mostly a result of continuous scan-plus-radio draw inside the X7's enclosed housing, not a cell defect. The battery does generate some heat under load, but the X7's plastic housing traps it. Check that the battery contacts are clean and the pack is fully seated — a high-resistance connection makes the cell work harder and increases heat output. If the device is too hot to hold comfortably, seat it in the cradle, let it cool for 10 minutes, and check the battery temperature reading in the device's diagnostics menu before continuing.
