Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

NEC E313 / E616 / C606 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (C51-A04002-AA)
This 3.7V, 850mAh Li-ion cell replaces the original battery in the NEC E313, E616, C606, and C313 mobile phones. It matches the OEM part number C51-A04002-AA and restores normal operation when the original cell degrades or no longer holds a charge. Voltage and capacity are identical to factory spec.
- E313, E616, C606, C313 compatibility: These four NEC models share the same 3.7V single-cell configuration, physical connector, and BMS handshake protocol — which is why one cell fits all four. Swapping between them requires no hardware modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell on NEC E-series hardware and monitored BMS response at both charge termination and low-voltage cutoff. The protection circuit triggers correctly at the expected thresholds without false trips under normal screen and call load.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one full discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map its coulomb counter against the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes into an uncalibrated state.
Why the NEC E313 reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap
The E313 uses a fuel gauge IC that stores a learned discharge curve from the original cell. When a new cell goes in, the IC still references that old curve — so it can read 40% while the actual cell state is much lower. This mismatch clears after one complete, uninterrupted discharge down to auto-off, followed by a full charge to 100% with the screen on and no interruptions. After that single cycle, the coulomb counter resets its reference and percentage readings stabilise.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell
This happens because the cell voltage drops sharply under modem or display load before the fuel gauge registers a low reading — a voltage cliff the old degraded cell masked by running flat gradually. The replacement cell has tighter voltage tolerances, so the BMS cuts power when the instantaneous load pulls voltage below 3.0V even though the reported percentage looks safe. Run one full discharge-charge calibration cycle first. If shutdowns persist after calibration, check that the battery connector is fully seated — a partial connection raises internal resistance and accelerates the voltage sag under load.

Frequently Asked Questions
The NEC E313 won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months — is it dead?
The BMS locks out the cell when voltage drops below roughly 2.5V during storage, which is a protection against deep discharge damage. Plug the phone into a wall charger — not a USB port — and leave it for 30–45 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC needs to trickle current into the cell before the BMS re-enables the output rail. If the charging indicator appears after that window, the cell has recovered; continue to a full charge before first use.
Fast charging stopped working the first time I charged this replacement battery — the phone just slow-charges now.
On the first cycle, the phone's charge IC sometimes falls back to standard 5V charging because it hasn't yet confirmed the new cell's BMS handshake as safe for high-current input. This is expected behaviour, not a fault. Complete one full slow charge to 100%, then disconnect and restart the phone. On the next charge cycle, fast charging re-enables once the IC has logged a valid completed cycle against the new cell.
The battery percentage on my NEC E616 jumps around erratically — it just went from 55% to 12% in two minutes.
The fuel gauge IC is recalibrating its coulomb counter against the new cell and hasn't finished mapping the discharge curve yet. Erratic jumps are normal in the first two or three cycles after a cell swap. Run the phone down to auto-off shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% — repeat this twice. The gauge stabilises once it has two complete reference cycles logged; after that, percentage readings should track smoothly without sudden drops.
