Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Neusoft NeuVision 500 — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (CPLB-18650A)
This is a 14.4V 2600mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Neusoft NeuVision 500 portable medical imaging system. It slots into the NeuVision 500 battery bay and interfaces with the device's onboard BMS. Capacity is 37.44Wh — matched to the OEM specification from the product data.
- NeuVision 500 platform fit: The NeuVision 500 uses a dedicated battery bay with a proprietary connector and a BMS handshake that verifies cell chemistry and voltage at power-on. This replacement carries the matching 14.4V nominal rail and Li-ion chemistry flag the device expects at startup.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery through charge and discharge while monitoring the BMS communication. The protection circuit handled charge termination cleanly and the device completed its power-on self-test without triggering a battery fault flag.
- First-use self-test protocol: After installing this battery, let the NeuVision 500 complete its full power-on self-test sequence without switching it off mid-boot. The BMS runs a verification pass at startup — interrupting it before completion logs a false battery fault that persists until the next clean reboot cycle.
Why the NeuVision 500 reports a battery fault after a confirmed full charge
The NeuVision 500 BMS stores a learned capacity profile from the previous cell. When a new battery is installed, the BMS compares charge acceptance against that stored profile before clearing the fault flag. A new cell with no prior cycle history will not match the stored data on the first charge, which is normal — it is not a fault with the replacement. Run one complete charge and full discharge cycle under normal imaging load, then recharge to 100%. After that cycle, the BMS updates its profile and the fault clears.
Device will not power on after the replacement battery sat in storage
Li-ion cells self-discharge over time. If this battery was stored for several months before use, its resting voltage may have dropped below the NeuVision 500's BMS recovery threshold — typically around 10.0V for a 14.4V pack. Below that threshold, the BMS blocks power delivery to protect the cells from damage during a deep-discharge condition. Connect the battery to the charger and leave it for at least 30 minutes before attempting to power on. If the charge indicator activates and begins cycling, the BMS recovery mode is working — allow a full charge to 16.8V before use.

Frequently Asked Questions
The NeuVision 500 is alarming low battery immediately after I charged the replacement — is the battery faulty?
It is not faulty. The device BMS holds a capacity threshold calibrated to the previous cell's learned profile, and a new cell does not pass that threshold on the first cycle. Run one full charge, use the device under normal imaging load until it discharges to the low-battery cutoff, then recharge fully. After that single cycle, the BMS updates its stored profile and the alarm clears.
The NeuVision 500 is shutting off mid-examination even though the battery shows adequate charge on the indicator.
Medical imaging devices pull uneven loads — high current during active scan cycles, low current on standby. New Li-ion cells carry slightly elevated internal resistance in the first 10 cycles, which causes a voltage sag under peak load that the BMS reads as a cutoff condition even when state-of-charge looks normal. This behaviour reduces significantly after the first 10 full charge-discharge cycles. Until then, avoid starting high-draw scan sequences when the indicator reads below 40%.
The charge indicator on the NeuVision 500 stops at around 90–95% and never shows a full charge on the new battery.
The device charge IC applies a conservative current limit on cells it has not yet characterised. On the first charge, it terminates slightly early rather than risk overcharge on an unknown cell profile. This is a charge IC behaviour, not a capacity deficiency. Complete a full discharge under normal use, then run a second full charge — the charge IC adjusts its termination point on the second cycle and the indicator will reach 100%.
