Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Olympus Stylus Verve Digital S — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (Li-30B)
This 3.7V, 650mAh Li-ion cell replaces the OEM Li-30B battery in the Olympus Stylus Verve Digital S and closely related compact cameras. It restores full imaging function — shutter, LCD, flash capacitor charging, and image write cycles — after the original cell degrades. Voltage and physical dimensions match the OEM spec: 33.85 × 26.75 × 8.35mm.
- Compatible camera lineup: The Li-30B cell is shared across the Stylus Verve Digital S, Stylus Verve Digital, u-mini Digital S, and u-mini Digital. These models use the same battery bay geometry, the same 3.7V rail, and the same OEM part number — one cell covers all four.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the Stylus Verve platform. The BMS accepted the cell, reported charge state without erratic jumps, and flash recycling stayed consistent across the test run.
- First-use charge cycle: Insert the cell and charge it fully through the camera body or OEM charger before your first shoot. Some Olympus compact BMS systems need one complete charge cycle from within the camera to calibrate the battery-remaining indicator accurately.
Flash recycling slowing down mid-shoot on a fresh Li-30B cell
The Stylus Verve's flash capacitor pulls a sharp recharge current spike after every fired shot. As cell voltage sags — even on a cell that shows charge remaining — the capacitor takes longer to reach firing voltage. This appears as increasing lag between shots, not as a dead-battery warning. If you see it early in a session, the cell may not have completed its first full charge cycle. Charge fully via the camera body and repeat the test.
Battery percentage jumping erratically on the Stylus Verve display
The OEM indicator maps voltage thresholds to fixed display steps. A new replacement cell has a slightly different discharge curve to the aged original — the camera reads a voltage midpoint and snaps the indicator to the nearest programmed step, which can look like the percentage is jumping rather than declining smoothly. This is a display mapping issue, not a cell fault. Run two full charge-discharge cycles through the camera body and the indicator will track the new cell's curve more closely.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Olympus Stylus Verve Digital S shows a dead battery icon the moment I fit the new Li-30B cell — is the replacement faulty?
Almost always no. The Olympus compact BMS checks the cell's voltage state on insertion, and a new cell shipped in storage mode can read below the camera's acceptance threshold. Place the cell in the camera body and connect it to charge via the OEM charger for a full cycle before powering on. After one complete charge, the camera should accept the cell and clear the icon. If the icon persists after a full charge, check that the cell contacts are seated flush against the battery bay terminals.
Shot count on my Stylus Verve Digital feels lower than I expected with the new battery — is something drawing it down?
The rated capacity is 650mAh at a steady draw, but the Stylus Verve stacks multiple current draws simultaneously: LCD backlight, flash capacitor recharge, autofocus motor, and image write to card all run across the same cell. Shooting in bright conditions with the LCD at full brightness and flash enabled on every frame will deplete the cell noticeably faster than a low-draw review session. Cold temperatures above 0°C but below around 10°C also reduce usable capacity without any fault in the cell. If draw seems excessive in normal indoor conditions, confirm the LCD brightness setting is not at maximum.
The Stylus Verve Digital S camera body gets noticeably warm during back-to-back shooting — is that the battery?
Heat during sustained shooting comes mainly from the image processor and LCD, not the cell itself. The Li-30B cell does warm slightly under repeated flash-capacitor recharge cycles, but that is normal and within operating range. If the camera body is hot enough to be uncomfortable to hold, give it a two-minute rest between bursts to let the processor thermal load drop. The cell does not have a thermal cutoff at Li-30B operating current levels, so heat-induced shutdowns point to the camera body rather than the replacement cell.
