Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Oppo A94 / CPH2203 / CPH2205 — 3.87V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BLP835)
This is a 3.87V, 4300mAh (16.64Wh) Li-Polymer battery for the Oppo A94 smartphone. It fits models CPH2203, CPH2205, and the A94 2021 variant. Replace it when the original cell no longer holds a useful charge or causes unexpected shutdowns.
- CPH2203 and CPH2205 compatibility: Both variants share the same BLP835 footprint, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. The voltage rail and physical dimensions — 85.30 × 62.66 × 4.80mm — are identical across the A94 lineup, so one cell covers the full model range.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through a full charge and discharge cycle on an A94 unit. The BMS accepted the cell without error, charge current ramped correctly through CC and CV phases, and the charge IC reported full capacity at termination.
- First-cycle fuel gauge recalibration: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle at standard current. The fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve. One slow cycle lets the coulomb counter establish a clean baseline before high-current charging begins.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the BLP835 replacement cell
This is a voltage cliff issue, not a capacity problem. Under peak load — active screen at full brightness, 4G modem transmitting, or GPS active — the cell voltage drops sharply. If it falls below the BMS protection threshold before the OS reads 0%, the phone cuts out immediately. The fuel gauge IC is reporting state-of-charge from an old discharge curve, so the displayed percentage is ahead of reality. One full slow discharge-charge cycle recalibrates the coulomb counter and the shutdowns stop.
USB-PD or VOOC fast charge not activating on first cycle after replacement
On the first charge after a cell swap, the charge IC may default to standard 5V/1A input instead of negotiating the VOOC or USB-PD fast charge protocol. This happens because the BMS flags the new cell as uncalibrated and limits negotiation until it completes one baseline cycle. Charge the phone fully at standard speed using the original Oppo charger. After that first complete cycle, fast charge protocol negotiation resumes normally and the charging speed returns to rated current.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Oppo A94 keeps shutting off at around 25% after I put in the new BLP835 — is the replacement cell faulty?
The cell is not faulty — this is a fuel gauge calibration mismatch. The coulomb counter inside the phone is still reading against the old cell's discharge curve, so it reports 25% when the actual cell voltage has already hit the BMS cutoff under load. Run one complete discharge down to automatic shutdown, then charge fully at standard speed without fast charging enabled. After that single cycle the fuel gauge recalibrates and the early shutdowns clear.
The battery percentage on my A94 jumps around erratically after fitting the new cell — it reads 60%, then suddenly 45%, then back up to 55%.
Erratic percentage jumps are a sign the fuel gauge IC is actively recalibrating against the new cell's impedance profile. The original calibration data no longer matches the new cell, so the coulomb counter is correcting itself in real time as it gathers new voltage and current readings. Do not interrupt the process — let the phone complete two full discharge-charge cycles at standard charge speed. By the end of the second cycle the IC has enough data to report a stable, accurate percentage.
My A94 won't power on at all after the replacement BLP835 sat in a drawer for a few months before I installed it — is the battery dead?
Li-Polymer cells self-discharge in storage, and if the BLP835 dropped below approximately 2.5V per cell the BMS has gone into lockout to prevent damage. Connect the phone to the original Oppo charger and leave it for at least 30–40 minutes without attempting to power it on. The charge IC will apply a trickle current to recover the cell voltage above the BMS threshold. Once voltage crosses roughly 3.0V the BMS resets, the phone will show a low-battery indicator, and normal charging resumes.
