Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Huawei Enjoy 20 Plus — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (HB486686ECW)
This 3.85V, 4100mAh Li-Polymer cell replaces the original HB486686ECW battery in the Huawei Enjoy 20 Plus and Enjoy 20 Plus 5G Standard Edition (FRL-AN00a / Changxiang 20 Plus). It matches the original cell's dimensions at 83.90 × 63.26 × 4.20mm and connects via the factory flex connector. Capacity matches the stock specification at 15.79Wh.
- Enjoy 20 Plus and 5G Standard Edition fit: Both variants — FRL-AN00a and the Changxiang 20 Plus — use the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake. One cell covers the full model range listed above.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the Enjoy 20 Plus platform. The BMS accepted the cell without a protection-circuit lockout, and the charge IC completed a full CC/CV cycle to 4.35V termination voltage.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first installation: On first use after fitting, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle at standard rate. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before the coulomb counter commits to its reference baseline.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Enjoy 20 Plus after a cell swap
A new Li-Polymer cell has a slightly different voltage-versus-capacity curve than the degraded cell it replaces. The fuel gauge IC still holds calibration data from the old cell, so when the new cell hits a voltage the IC doesn't expect at that state of charge, the system treats it as a critical low-battery event and cuts power. This isn't a fault with the replacement cell — it's the coulomb counter working off the wrong reference curve. Run two full discharge-to-charge cycles at standard charge rate to allow the IC to relearn the curve. After recalibration, shutdowns below 20% should stop.
USB fast charging not activating on the first cycle after fitting
Huawei's proprietary fast charge protocol (FCP) involves a handshake between the charge IC and the battery's BMS before elevated current is permitted. On the very first cycle with a new cell, the BMS may hold the charge IC in standard 5V/1A mode until it confirms cell impedance is within expected parameters. Plug in using the original Huawei charger and cable — third-party USB-PD adapters can stall this handshake entirely. If fast charging still doesn't activate after one full standard-rate cycle, check that the charger output shows 9V or above in the phone's battery settings under charging status.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Enjoy 20 Plus shows the wrong battery percentage after fitting the new cell — is the gauge broken?
The fuel gauge IC calibrated itself to the old cell's discharge curve over months of use. When a new cell goes in, that stored curve no longer matches the actual voltage-capacity relationship of the replacement cell. The result is percentage readings that jump, stall, or read high before a sudden drop. Run two full discharge-to-charge cycles at standard charge rate — no fast charging — and the coulomb counter will rebuild an accurate baseline from real data.
The phone won't power on at all after the new battery sat in a drawer for a few weeks before installation — what happened?
Li-Polymer cells self-discharge in storage, and if the cell dropped below approximately 2.5V per cell before installation, the BMS enters a lockout state to prevent damage from deep discharge. The phone won't respond to the power button because the BMS is blocking current flow. Connect the original Huawei charger and leave the phone plugged in without pressing any buttons for 20–30 minutes — the charge IC will trickle current into the cell at a recovery rate until voltage climbs above the BMS re-enable threshold of around 3.0V, after which normal charging resumes.
The phone gets noticeably warm near the battery area during the first few charges — is the new cell faulty?
A fresh Li-Polymer cell typically has higher internal impedance than a cell that has been through several charge cycles. Higher impedance means more heat is generated during the charge IC's constant-current phase, particularly when fast charging is active. This is normal behaviour on the first two to three cycles and settles as the cell's impedance drops with use. If warmth continues past the third full charge, disable fast charging in Settings → Battery and run one standard-rate cycle to confirm whether the heat is charge-current related or a connector issue.
