Fits Realme C15 and RMX2186 smartphones; replaces OEM part BLP793.
Supplies 3.85V at 5000mAh capacity—enough for a full day of calls, messaging, and media on stock firmware.
Connector seats flush into the phone's battery slot with no force; locking tab aligns with the retention clip on the upper edge.
We ran a full discharge cycle on the bench; the BMS accepted charge input cleanly and held voltage stable under peak screen and modem load.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle—this recalibrates the fuel gauge IC against the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging resumes.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Oppo Realme C15 / C12 — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BLP793)

The BLP793 is a 3.85V, 5000mAh Li-Polymer cell that replaces the original battery in the Realme C15 (RMX2186) and Realme C12 (RMX2189). It fits when the stock cell has degraded, swells, or can no longer hold usable charge. Capacity figure is 19.25Wh at rated voltage.

  • Realme C15 and C12 compatibility: Both the RMX2186 and RMX2189 use the same BLP793 footprint, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. The 88.26 × 63.84 × 4.82mm cell fits the shared chassis without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran the BLP793 through full charge and discharge cycles on the RMX2186. The BMS accepted the charge IC handshake on the first cycle, and overvoltage cutoff triggered correctly at the top-of-charge threshold — no false trips under screen-on load.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-charge cycle at standard rate. The fuel gauge IC on Realme devices calibrates its coulomb counter against the actual discharge curve of the new cell — skipping this step causes percentage drift and early shutdown warnings for the first several cycles.

Why the Realme C15 reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap

The Realme C15 uses a coulomb-counting fuel gauge IC that builds its state-of-charge model from the cell it was originally calibrated against. When a new BLP793 goes in, that model no longer matches the actual discharge curve of the fresh cell. The IC may report 15–20% remaining when the true voltage is still above 3.7V, or it may drop suddenly from 30% to 0%. One full discharge-to-shutdown followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% forces the IC to rewrite its reference curve. After that single cycle, percentage reporting stabilises.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

This happens when the modem, display, or a background app spikes current draw and the cell voltage sags below the BMS protection threshold — typically 3.0V per cell — faster than the fuel gauge IC anticipates. It is not a defective cell; it is the uncalibrated gauge misreading available capacity under load. Run the full recalibration cycle described above first. If shutdowns continue after calibration, check that the battery connector is fully seated — a partially connected cell raises internal resistance and causes voltage sag under any moderate load spike.

Frequently Asked Questions

The phone feels warm near the bottom while charging after I put in the new battery — is that normal?

A new high-impedance Li-Polymer cell draws charge current less efficiently on its first few cycles, which causes the charge IC to dissipate slightly more heat than usual. This typically settles after three to five full cycles as the cell's internal resistance drops to its rated value. If the warmth is concentrated at the battery rather than the USB port area, that points to a loose connector increasing contact resistance — reseat the battery flex cable and check the connector tab alignment. Warmth that persists beyond five cycles or causes the device to throttle charging is a separate issue worth investigating at the hardware level.

Fast charging stopped working after I replaced the battery — the phone only charges at a slow rate now.

Realme's proprietary charge protocol requires a BMS handshake on the first connection before the charge IC unlocks high-current delivery. On the first cycle after a cell swap, the phone may default to standard 5V/1A charging while it validates the new cell. Disconnect and reconnect the USB cable after the phone has fully booted — in most cases this re-triggers the handshake and fast charge resumes. If it does not, complete one full standard-rate charge to 100%, reboot the device, then reconnect a fast-charge-rated cable and adapter.

The phone won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few weeks before installation.

Li-Polymer cells self-discharge in storage, and if the BLP793 dropped below 2.5V during that time, the BMS enters lockout mode to prevent charging a critically depleted cell through normal means. Connect the phone to a low-current 5V/0.5A charger — avoid fast chargers at this stage — and leave it connected for 20–30 minutes without attempting to power on. The BMS recovery circuit trickle-charges the cell back above the 2.8V threshold it needs before unlocking full charge current. Once the charging indicator appears on screen, switch to your standard charger and complete the cycle normally.
