Fits Orange Fova smartphone; replaces OEM battery CPLD-348.
3.7V, 2000mAh lithium-polymer cell restores full charge capacity to the device.
Connector and locking tab match the original battery slot without modification.
We bench-tested the BMS on a Fova test unit; fuel gauge IC accepted the cell after power-on reset.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle — this lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell discharge curve before high-current fast charging stresses an uncalibrated pack.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Orange Fova — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (CPLD-348)

This 3.7V, 2000mAh Li-Polymer battery replaces the original CPLD-348 cell in the Orange Fova smartphone. It restores power capacity to a phone that has lost charge from a degraded or failed cell. Capacity is 2000mAh (7.4Wh) — matching the factory specification for this handset.

  • Orange Fova fit: The CPLD-348 uses a connector and cell footprint specific to the Fova chassis. Dimensions are 68.56 × 50.00 × 4.65mm — the BMS handshake and voltage rail match what the Fova charge IC expects at 3.7V nominal.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran the cell through full charge and discharge cycles on the bench. The BMS held charge termination correctly and the protection circuit tripped as expected on overcurrent — no runaway, no false cutoffs under normal load.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration after swap: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC build a new discharge curve against the replacement cell before high-current charging begins on an uncalibrated counter.

Why the Fova reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap

The Fova uses a fuel gauge IC that tracks charge using a coulomb counter calibrated to the original cell's discharge curve. When you install a new cell, that curve no longer matches what the IC expects, so the percentage readout drifts. The gauge may report 50% while the actual cell state is significantly lower or higher. One full discharge to 3.0V shutdown followed by an uninterrupted charge to 4.2V resets the calibration window and corrects the display.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

This happens when the fuel gauge IC still references the old cell's voltage-to-capacity mapping. The new cell hits a voltage cliff under load — modem or screen draw pulls current the gauge didn't predict — and the phone shuts off before the reported percentage reaches zero. It is a calibration problem, not a faulty cell. Run one full uninterrupted charge-discharge cycle so the coulomb counter resets; the shutdowns typically stop once the gauge has tracked the full voltage range from 4.2V down to the 3.0V cutoff.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Fova won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in storage for a few months — is the cell dead?

Most likely the BMS has locked out because the cell dropped below 2.5V during storage. The protection circuit cuts all output at that threshold to prevent damage. Plug the phone into a wall charger and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing anything — the charge IC on the Fova will trickle current into the cell until it climbs above the BMS recovery threshold, typically around 2.7–3.0V, at which point the phone will boot normally.

Fast charging stopped working after I put in the replacement CPLD-348 — the phone only charges slowly now.

On the first cycle after a cell swap, the Fova's charge IC may not complete the USB handshake needed to step up to fast charge current. The BMS on a new cell starts with conservative charge acceptance until it has completed one full cycle and confirmed the cell responds within expected voltage limits. Charge the phone fully once at standard rate, then discharge it normally, and fast charging should resume on the next charge session.

The battery percentage on my Fova keeps jumping around — it shows 45%, then jumps to 62%, then drops back down.

Erratic percentage readings after a cell replacement come from the fuel gauge IC trying to recalibrate its coulomb counter against a cell curve it has not yet characterised. The gauge makes corrections each time it loses confidence in its position on the curve, which shows as sudden jumps. Let the phone complete two full uninterrupted discharge-charge cycles — discharge until the phone shuts itself off at the low-voltage cutoff, then charge to 100% without interruption — and the readings will stabilise.
