Fits TP-Link Neffos X1 Max and replaces OEM part number NBL-35A3000.
This 3.85V 2800mAh Li-Polymer cell delivers the voltage curve the Neffos X1 Max fuel gauge expects for accurate percentage reporting.
Connector is a standard two-pin JST plug; slides into the battery cavity with the connector tab facing the board contact pads.
We bench-tested this cell against the stock discharge profile — BMS accepted the charge handshake without fault codes on first insertion.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle so the fuel gauge IC recalibrates against the new cell curve before high-current charging resumes.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

TP-Link Neffos X1 Max — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (NBL-35A3000)

This is a 3.85V, 2800mAh Li-Polymer replacement battery for the TP-Link Neffos X1 Max smartphone. It fits the standard X1 Max, the Dual SIM variant, the Dual SIM LTE AM model, and devices listed as TP903A. OEM part number is NBL-35A3000.

  • X1 Max and TP903A compatibility: The X1 Max, Dual SIM, Dual SIM LTE AM, and TP903A all share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — one cell covers the entire variant group.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the X1 Max platform. The BMS accepted the cell without fault codes, and the charge IC stepped through trickle, CC, and CV phases correctly.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After fitting this cell, disable fast charging and run one full discharge-to-charge cycle before resuming normal use. The fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve — skipping this step causes the percentage readout to drift until the coulomb counter resets against the new cell's actual curve.

Why the Neffos X1 Max shuts down suddenly at 20–30% after a cell swap

A new Li-Polymer cell has a slightly different voltage-to-capacity curve than the worn cell it replaces. The fuel gauge IC uses a stored model of the old curve to estimate remaining charge. When the new cell's voltage drops faster than the IC expects under modem or display load, the phone hits the hardware low-voltage cutoff before the gauge reaches 0%. The fix is one full uninterrupted discharge cycle — drain to auto-shutdown, then charge to 100% without interruption. After that cycle, the coulomb counter has a real reference point for the new cell and the early shutdowns stop.

USB fast charge not activating on the first cycle after replacement

On the first charge after fitting a new cell, the charge IC may default to standard 5V/1A input and ignore the fast charge handshake. This happens because the IC treats an unrecognised cell state as a precaution — it will not push high current into a cell it has not yet characterised. Plug into a fast charger, let the first full cycle complete at whatever rate the IC allows, and disconnect at 100%. On the second charge cycle, the fast charge protocol re-negotiates normally and full charge current resumes.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Neffos X1 Max battery percentage keeps jumping around erratically after I put in the new cell — is something wrong with it?

Nothing is wrong with the cell itself. The fuel gauge IC is still running on the discharge model it built for your old battery, and the new cell's voltage curve doesn't match that model. The percentage readout drifts or jumps until the coulomb counter collects enough real data to correct itself. Run one complete discharge cycle — let the phone drain to auto-shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% — and the erratic readings will settle.

The phone feels warm near the battery area while charging the new cell — is the charge IC overloading it?

A new Li-Polymer cell typically has higher internal impedance than a broken-in cell, so the charge IC dissipates slightly more energy as heat during the first few charge cycles. This is normal and the warmth reduces as the cell's impedance drops over the first three to five cycles. If the phone feels hot rather than warm, or if warmth persists past five cycles, check that the replacement cell's dimensions seat flush with no pressure on the connector. The phone should feel no warmer than it did with the original battery after five full cycles.

The X1 Max won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months before installation — how do I recover it?

A Li-Polymer cell stored outside the phone can self-discharge below the BMS lockout threshold, typically around 2.5V per cell. When voltage drops that low, the BMS opens the protection circuit and blocks all output to prevent damage. Connect the phone to a low-current 5V charger — a standard wall adapter, not a fast charger — and leave it for 30 to 45 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC will trickle current into the cell until the BMS sees voltage above the recovery threshold and closes the circuit. Once the phone shows a charging indicator, let it reach at least 15% before booting.
