Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Coolpad 3602U — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (CPLD-348)
This is a 3.7V, 2000mAh Li-Polymer cell replacing the original CPLD-348 battery in the Coolpad 3602U smartphone. It fits the 3602U only — confirm your model number before ordering. Capacity is 2000mAh (7.4Wh), matching the stock specification.
- Coolpad 3602U fitment: The 3602U uses a fixed connector pinout and BMS handshake tied to the CPLD-348 form factor. This cell matches that connector, voltage rail, and physical dimensions (68.56 × 50.00 × 4.65mm) so the charge IC accepts it without fault codes.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the 3602U platform. The BMS accepted the cell on first connection, the charge IC stepped through its CC/CV stages cleanly, and the fuel gauge IC began tracking within the first full cycle.
- First-cycle calibration tip: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging is applied to an uncalibrated cell.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Coolpad 3602U
This is a voltage cliff issue, not a capacity problem. When the modem searches for signal or the screen peaks brightness, current draw spikes sharply. If the fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old degraded cell's discharge curve, it misreads the new cell's state of charge and the BMS trips before the real charge is exhausted. One full uninterrupted discharge-charge cycle — without fast charging — resets the coulomb counter and eliminates most false shutdowns. If shutdowns persist after two full cycles, check that the battery connector is fully seated and making clean contact at all four pins.
Phone reports wrong percentage after replacing the CPLD-348
The fuel gauge IC on the 3602U stores a learned discharge curve from the old cell. Swapping in a new cell doesn't automatically reset that learned model, so the reported percentage drifts — often reading 100% too quickly or dropping erratically under load. Run one complete cycle: drain the phone until it powers off automatically, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without using the device. After that single cycle the coulomb counter recalibrates against the new cell and percentage readings stabilise. If the gauge still drifts after two cycles, wipe the battery stats cache through the device's recovery menu.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Coolpad 3602U won't turn on at all after the new CPLD-348 battery sat in a drawer for months — is the battery dead?
Most likely the cell dropped below 2.5V during storage and the BMS entered lockout mode to prevent damage. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a PC port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC needs time to trickle current into the cell and lift it above the BMS recovery threshold of roughly 3.0V before the phone will boot. If there is no charging indicator after 40 minutes, try a different cable and adapter to rule out a current-delivery issue before assuming the cell is unrecoverable.
Fast charging stopped working on my 3602U after I fitted the replacement battery — it only slow charges now.
The charge IC on the 3602U uses a handshake sequence to verify the cell before stepping up to high-current charging. On a brand-new cell with no charge history, the IC sometimes defaults to a conservative CC rate until it completes one full cycle. Complete one full discharge-charge cycle at standard charge speed first. After that cycle, fast charging typically re-enables automatically because the IC has logged a complete impedance profile for the new cell. If fast charging still does not engage, confirm the charger output is at least 5V/2A — the protocol will not step up from a low-output adapter.
The 3602U feels warm near the battery during the first few charges with the new cell — is that normal?
A new Li-Polymer cell has higher internal impedance than a cell that has been cycled, and the charge IC dissipates more energy as heat while pushing current through that higher resistance. This is most noticeable during the first two or three charges and reduces as the cell's impedance drops with use. If the phone is only warm — not hot enough to be uncomfortable to hold — no action is needed. If it becomes genuinely hot or the back panel bulges at any point, stop charging immediately, remove the battery, and inspect the connector seating before reconnecting.
