Replaces Panasonic KX-TD7690 handset battery, OEM part number N4HUGLB00001 and N4HUGLB00001C.
3.7V 650mAh Li-Polymer cell delivers full power for this DECT cordless phone handset from charge to cutoff.
Connector slides into the battery slot on the handset rear panel with no locking tab — seats flat and straight.
We ran full discharge cycles on a KX-TD7690 base unit; BMS voltage held steady under RF transmit load with no premature cutoff.
After inserting this cell, place the handset in the base for a full 16-hour charge before first use — Li-Polymer cells in cordless phones require extended initial charge to reach rated capacity and stable voltage regulation.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Panasonic KX-TD7690 — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (N4HUGLB00001)

This 3.7V 650mAh Li-Polymer battery replaces the original pack in the Panasonic KX-TD7690 DECT cordless phone handset. It fits the KX-TD7690 directly and matches the OEM connector and form factor. Capacity is 650mAh (2.41Wh), identical to the factory specification.

  • KX-TD7690 handset fit: The KX-TD7690 uses a slim Li-Polymer cell at 3.7V nominal. This pack shares the same voltage rail, physical dimensions (51.40 × 21.90 × 5.90mm), and connector orientation as the original, so the handset BMS accepts it without renegotiation.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on a KX-TD7690 handset. The BMS accepted the pack immediately, charge current ramped normally from the base station, and the handset reached full charge indication without error flags.
  • First-charge protocol for Li-Polymer cordless packs: After fitting, seat the handset in the base and leave it on charge for a full 16 hours before first use. Li-Polymer cells shipped in storage state need a complete slow charge to calibrate the fuel gauge and reach rated capacity from cycle one.

Talk time shorter than original battery after replacement

A freshly installed Li-Polymer pack often delivers less talk time than expected for the first two to three cycles. The cell ships partially discharged and the handset's fuel gauge hasn't yet calibrated to the new pack's actual capacity. Run two or three full charge-to-depletion cycles through normal use and the reported and actual capacity will align. After cycle three, talk time should match the 650mAh rating.

Handset not pairing with base after battery swap

Removing the battery on some DECT handsets clears the pairing register stored in volatile memory. The KX-TD7690 may show "searching" or refuse to connect after a battery swap. To re-pair, hold the handset's registration button until the base unit confirms pairing — the exact sequence is in the KX-TD7690 system guide under "Handset Registration." Once re-paired and fully charged, the handset operates normally.

Frequently Asked Questions

My KX-TD7690 handset shows a full charge but drops off a call within minutes — is the new battery faulty?

It isn't faulty. A Li-Polymer cell installed after storage has a miscalibrated fuel gauge, so the handset displays full charge before the cell is actually topped up. Run three complete charge-discharge cycles through normal use and the gauge will recalibrate to the real 650mAh capacity. After cycle three, charge indication and actual capacity should match.

The base station charge light never turns solid after I fitted the replacement battery — what's wrong?

The base station charges via a contact voltage handshake. If the new pack arrived deeply discharged from storage, its resting voltage may sit below the threshold the base uses to confirm a valid battery is present. Plug the handset into a USB charger or a compatible Li-Polymer bench charger at 3.7V to bring the cell above 3.5V, then return it to the base — the charge light should respond normally from that point.

The KX-TD7690 loses range and the audio breaks up near the edge of the coverage area after I swapped the battery — the old pack never did this.

DECT transmit power draws a short burst of current every time the handset sends a radio packet. If the battery voltage sags under that RF load, the handset reduces transmit power to protect the circuit, which cuts effective range. This happens when the pack hasn't completed its first full charge cycle. Seat the handset in the base for a full 16-hour charge, then retest range — a fully charged 650mAh Li-Polymer cell at 3.7V nominal will sustain transmit current without sag.
