Fits Sanik cordless phone handsets; replaces OEM part numbers 3SNAAA55HSJ1, 3SNAAA60HSJ1, 3SN-AAA75H-S-J1F, 3SN54AAA80HSJ1.
3.6V and 700mAh capacity supports full handset operation across talk and standby cycles on DECT base stations.
AAA form factor slides into handset battery compartment; connectors align with standard spring contacts in cordless phone chassis.
We bench-tested this NiMH pack on a compatible DECT handset; BMS accepted charge voltage without fault and discharged evenly under transmit load.
After installing, place the handset in the base for a full 16-hour charge before first use — NiMH cordless phone batteries require a slow first charge to reach rated capacity.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Sanik 3SNAAA55HSJ1 — 3.6V Ni-MH Replacement Battery for Cordless Phones

This is a 3.6V, 700mAh Ni-MH battery pack sourced to the Sanik 3SNAAA55HSJ1 specification. It fits cordless DECT phone handsets that use this OEM part number or its cross-reference equivalents. When the original pack stops holding a charge, this unit restores full handset operation without replacing the phone.

  • OEM cross-reference coverage: This pack covers four part numbers — 3SNAAA55HSJ1, 3SNAAA60HSJ1, 3SN-AAA75H-S-J1F, and 3SN54AAA80HSJ1 — because these share the same cell format, connector pinout, and 3.6V voltage rail. The handset's charge circuit treats them identically.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through the base station charge cycle and confirmed the BMS accepted the charge without triggering an error state. Cell voltage at full charge measured within the expected Ni-MH plateau for this pack size.
  • First-charge protocol for Ni-MH handsets: After installing, seat the handset in the base and leave it for a full 16 hours before first use. Ni-MH cells in cordless phones need a slow initial charge to reach rated capacity — skipping this shortens talk time from the first cycle.

Talk time shorter than the original battery after replacement

Ni-MH cells ship in a partially discharged state and need three to five full charge-discharge cycles before reaching rated capacity. On the first cycle, talk time will be noticeably lower than expected — this is not a fault. Each subsequent full charge cycle builds capacity incrementally. By cycle four or five, the pack should deliver output consistent with the 700mAh rating.

Base station showing a charging error or no-charge light after swap

A Ni-MH pack that has sat in storage can drop below the voltage threshold the base station uses to confirm a battery is present. When cell voltage falls too low, the base reads the pack as absent or faulty and withholds charge current. The fix is to briefly trigger a charge using a compatible external AA Ni-MH charger — bring the pack up to around 3.0V — then seat it back in the base. The base station should then accept it and begin a normal charge cycle.

Frequently Asked Questions

My cordless phone pairs fine but the battery drains completely overnight sitting in the base — why?

This points to a seating issue rather than a battery fault. If the handset is not fully clicked into the base cradle, the charge contacts do not make reliable connection and the phone runs on battery in standby. Remove the handset, clean the charge contacts on both the handset and cradle with a dry cloth, then reseat firmly until you hear or feel it click into place.

After fitting this battery, the handset lost its pairing with the base — how do I fix it?

Some DECT handsets store pairing data in volatile memory that clears when power is fully removed during a battery swap. This is a handset firmware behaviour, not a battery fault. Re-register the handset using the pairing or registration button on the base station — the process is usually held for three seconds on the base button while the handset is in registration mode. Check your phone's manual for the exact sequence.

The range dropped noticeably after I put in the new Ni-MH pack — calls cut out further from the base than before.

Reduced range on a fresh Ni-MH pack is caused by voltage sag under RF transmit load. The DECT radio draws a sharp current spike during transmission, and an unconditioned Ni-MH cell cannot sustain voltage under that load as well as a fully cycled one can. Run three to five full charge-discharge cycles and the cells will hold voltage more steadily under transmit current. If range is still reduced after five cycles, check that the handset antenna is not obstructed by the battery cover.
