Fits Philip Morris iQos devices with part number BAT0296 as direct OEM replacement.
3.8V, 350mAh lithium-polymer cell delivers sustained power to heating element across full session cycles.
Connector seats into iQos charging dock with positive contact alignment — no locking tab present.
We bench-tested this cell on iQos charge cycles; BMS accepted voltage handshake and held stable discharge without early cutoff.
Allow the device to cool for 10 minutes after a full vaping session before inserting into the charging dock, as charging a warm cell reduces cycle life in this compact housing.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Philip Morris iQos — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BAT0296)

This is a 3.8V, 350mAh lithium-polymer cell that replaces the internal battery in the Philip Morris iQos heated tobacco device. It powers the heating blade that vaporises tobacco sticks. Fit this when the original cell no longer holds a charge or the device stops heating mid-session.

  • iQos heating system compatibility: The iQos uses a tightly controlled power delivery path to hit a precise blade temperature. The BAT0296 cell matches the original voltage rail and connector footprint, so the device firmware accepts it without a mismatch flag.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and draw sequences on the iQos platform. The BMS held cutoff at the correct low-voltage threshold and did not trip on the heating blade's initial inrush current.
  • Post-session charging caution: Do not charge the iQos immediately after back-to-back heating sessions. Allow 15 minutes for the cell to cool below 40°C first — charging a warm lithium-polymer cell accelerates electrolyte breakdown and shortens overall cycle life.

Why the iQos heating blade stops warming up before the session ends

The heating blade in the iQos draws a short high-current pulse to reach operating temperature. As the original cell ages, internal resistance rises and voltage sags under that pulse. The device interprets the voltage sag as a depleted cell and cuts the heating cycle short. A fresh BAT0296 cell with lower internal resistance delivers the pulse cleanly, so the blade reaches full temperature and holds it for the full heating sequence.

iQos LED flashing without heating after battery swap

If the LED flashes but the blade does not heat after fitting a replacement cell, the battery voltage is likely below the device's activation threshold from sitting in storage. The iQos controller will not trigger the heating element below approximately 3.4V. Plug the device into the charger for at least 20 minutes before attempting a heating session — this brings the cell above the minimum activation voltage and allows the controller to initialise the heating cycle normally.

Frequently Asked Questions

My iQos heats up but cuts off before the tobacco stick is finished — is that the battery?

Yes, and it is a voltage-sag issue, not a firmware fault. The heating blade draws a sustained current load across the session, and a degraded cell cannot hold voltage under that load — the device sees voltage drop below its cutoff threshold and ends the cycle early. A fresh BAT0296 cell maintains voltage under load for the full heating sequence. Fit the new cell and run a full charge before your first session.

The iQos auto-draw isn't triggering — the device just sits there when I take a draw

The auto-draw sensor needs a minimum supply voltage to respond to airflow. If the cell is partially discharged or has degraded, the sensor circuit does not get enough voltage to register a draw event, so nothing fires. This is different from a heating cutoff — the device never starts at all. Charge the battery to full (indicator shows solid white) and retest; if the sensor still does not trigger, the cell voltage at rest should read at least 3.7V.

Why is the iQos getting noticeably warm in my hand during use, even with the new battery?

Some warmth is normal — the heating blade and the discharging lithium-polymer cell both generate heat inside a very small housing with limited thermal mass. What matters is whether warmth turns to hot. If the outer casing becomes uncomfortable to hold, the cell may be drawing higher current than expected due to a partially blocked airpath or debris around the blade — both raise resistance and increase heat output. Clean the heating chamber and blade with the iQos tool, then retest; surface temperature should stay below 45°C during normal use.
