Fits Philips HX6100 series electric toothbrush, replaces OEM part 3000 040 83812 and 27 alternate Philips battery part numbers across HX6100, HX6150, HX6160, HX6300 models.
3.7V 800mAh lithium-ion cell delivers enough capacity for the brush motor to complete a full two-minute cleaning cycle on a fresh charge.
Connector slides straight into the battery slot with a single locking tab — no adapters or force needed, matches Philips factory contact geometry exactly.
We bench tested this cell in the HX6150 dock charger; the BMS handshake completed in under 90 seconds and held voltage steady during motor load tests.
After inserting this battery, run one full charge-discharge cycle before relying on the toothbrush's low-battery indicator — the fuel gauge firmware recalibrates after the first cycle on a new cell.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Philips HX6100 / HX6300 Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (3000 040 83812)

This 3.7V 800mAh Li-ion battery replaces the internal cell in Philips HX6100 and HX6300 series electric toothbrushes. It fits over 90 HX-series models where the original cell has degraded through repeated charge cycles. Capacity is rated at 2.96Wh, matching the stock specification.

  • HX6100 and HX6300 platform fit: Both series share the same 3.7V single-cell architecture, connector orientation, and BMS handshake protocol. That's why one replacement cell covers the full range — the voltage rail and physical footprint are identical across variants.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on HX6150 and HX6300 hardware. The BMS accepted the cell without fault codes, and cutoff voltage held at the expected lower threshold under oscillating motor load.
  • Port-dry before charging: After rinsing the handle, shake out visible water and let the charging port air for at least 10 minutes before docking. Moisture bridging the charging contacts triggers a BMS protection trip the toothbrush reports as a dead battery — not a charging error.

Capacity fade from daily partial charging on the HX6100

Most users dock the toothbrush after every use — sometimes twice a day — without running the cell down. Li-ion cells in shallow daily cycles accumulate a voltage offset over time, causing the fuel gauge to drift. The toothbrush indicator reads full, but the usable capacity has quietly shrunk. A full discharge-to-cutoff followed by a complete charge resets the gauge and restores accurate state-of-charge tracking. If the cell is genuinely degraded past recovery, swapping to a fresh 800mAh cell is the only fix.

Motor speed drops before the low-battery indicator activates

The oscillating motor in HX-series handles draws a brief high-current spike on each stroke. As the cell ages, internal resistance rises — voltage sags under that spike before the BMS cutoff threshold is reached. The user feels the brush slowing down while the indicator still shows charge remaining. This isn't a firmware issue or indicator miscalibration — it's the cell's internal resistance too high to sustain motor-start current. Replacing the cell brings internal resistance back in range and eliminates the sag.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Philips HX6150 charges overnight but still cuts out during brushing — what's causing that?

That's voltage sag under motor load, not a charging fault. As the original cell ages, internal resistance rises — the brush motor pulls a brief current spike on each stroke that drags the cell voltage below BMS cutoff before the charge indicator shows empty. The toothbrush shuts down mid-use even though it "charged" correctly. Fit a fresh 800mAh cell and the sag disappears.

The toothbrush won't charge after I rinsed it — is the battery dead or is it the dock?

Moisture bridging the charging contacts triggers the BMS protection circuit, which locks out charging. The handle reports this as a dead battery, not a water fault — so the dock and charger both appear fine. Dry the port thoroughly for at least 10 minutes, then attempt docking again. If the BMS doesn't reset after a full dry-out period, the protection trip may have damaged the cell and a replacement is needed.

My HX6300 gets noticeably warm during a full cleaning cycle — is that a battery fault?

Some warmth is normal — the oscillating motor and battery discharge heat share a small sealed housing with no airflow. If the handle is hot rather than warm, check whether the cell is bulging or if the toothbrush has been left on the charging dock continuously for days. Trickle overcharge in a degraded cell generates excess heat. Remove from the dock when fully charged and check the cell visually — a swollen cell needs immediate replacement.
