Fits Spade smartphone; restores original 3.7V 1900mAh cell capacity when aging battery no longer holds charge.
3.7V 1900mAh lithium-ion delivers full power for calls, messaging, and apps on the Spade handset.
Standard smartphone connector seats flush with original orientation; locking tab engages on first install.
We bench-tested this cell in the Spade platform; BMS accepted the pack on first charge cycle with no fault codes or voltage delay.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle — this lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell discharge curve before high-current charging resumes.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Spade Smartphone — 3.7V Li-ion 1900mAh Replacement Battery

This is a 3.7V 1900mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Spade smartphone. It restores power to a device where the original cell has degraded, swollen, or stopped holding a charge. Capacity is 1900mAh (7.03Wh) — matched to the original specification.

  • Spade smartphone fit: This cell matches the voltage rail and physical form factor of the Spade handset. The BMS communicates charge state to the phone's fuel gauge IC over the same signal path as the factory cell.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on the bench. The BMS held charge cutoff at the correct upper voltage and did not trip on standby or moderate screen-on load.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated cell.

Why the Spade reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap

The fuel gauge IC in the Spade builds a discharge model based on the previous cell's internal resistance and capacity curve. When a new cell goes in, that model is wrong from the first reading. The IC corrects itself by tracking voltage against charge current over one or two full cycles. Until that calibration completes, percentage readings will drift — often reading higher or lower than actual state of charge.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

This happens when the phone's modem or display draws a short burst of current that the cell cannot sustain at low state of charge. Voltage drops below the BMS protection threshold for a fraction of a second and the phone cuts out — even though the fuel gauge still showed charge remaining. It is not a faulty cell. Run one full discharge-charge cycle without fast charging, then check whether the fuel gauge model has corrected. If shutdowns continue past two full cycles, verify the battery connector is fully seated and check for a bent pin on the flex connector.

Frequently Asked Questions

The phone won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months — is it dead?

Most likely the cell discharged below 2.5V in storage and the BMS has locked out to prevent damage. Plug into a wall charger — not a PC USB port — and leave it for 30–45 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC needs to trickle current into the cell before the BMS will release the lockout. If the charging indicator does not appear after an hour, check that the battery connector is fully clicked down on the motherboard.

Fast charging stopped working after I put in the new battery — the phone just charges slowly now

On the first cycle after a cell swap, the USB-PD or proprietary fast charge protocol sometimes does not negotiate correctly because the BMS has not yet established a charge history with the phone's charge IC. Complete one full slow charge cycle to 100% and discharge to around 10%, then plug in again. Fast charging typically re-enables on the second cycle once the charge IC recognises the new cell's impedance profile.

The battery percentage jumps around — it reads 45%, then skips to 60%, then drops back down

The fuel gauge IC is recalibrating against the new cell's discharge curve and the old model no longer matches the voltage steps it is seeing. This is expected for the first one to two cycles after a replacement. Run a full uninterrupted discharge down to automatic shutdown, then charge to 100% in one session. After that cycle the coulomb counter will have enough data to produce stable percentage readings.
