Fits Puppy R30, R30 Pro, and R35 cordless vacuums with 14.8V battery slot.
14.8V and 2600mAh capacity delivers full motor torque on hard floors and carpet without early cutoff.
Connector slides straight into the battery bay with a side locking tab — confirm the tab catches before operation.
We bench-tested this cell on the R30 motor under sustained suction load; BMS held steady at voltage with no premature trips.
Do not leave this battery on the charging dock continuously — dock charging causes trickle-charge fade within weeks; charge to full and remove.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Puppy R30 / R30 Pro / R35 — 14.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This 14.8V 2600mAh Li-ion battery replaces the original power cell in the Puppy R30, R30 Pro, and R35 cordless stick vacuums. When the original battery no longer holds charge or suction drops off quickly, this unit restores full motor voltage. Capacity is 2600mAh (38.48Wh), matching the stock specification.

  • R30, R30 Pro, and R35 fitment: These three models share the same 14.8V battery bay, connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol — one battery cell pack covers all three without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through full charge and discharge cycles on the R30 platform. The BMS handshake completed correctly, the motor spun up without triggering an overcurrent trip, and cell balancing held within spec across multiple cycles.
  • Dock charging behaviour on the R30 series: Do not leave the vacuum sitting on the charging dock continuously. The R30 series does not interrupt trickle current once full, so permanently docked units develop capacity fade significantly faster. Charge to full and remove the vacuum from the dock.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low

This is a voltage sag issue, not a capacity issue. When the motor pulls hard — especially on carpet or during a blockage — cell voltage dips below the BMS threshold before the indicator registers low charge. The BMS reads that sag as a protection event and throttles motor power. Check the filter first: a partially blocked filter forces the motor to draw above rated current, which accelerates the sag. Clean or replace the filter, then check whether suction holds at consistent power through a full run.

Motor cuts out mid-clean and then recovers after a few seconds

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. Sustained restricted airflow — blocked filter, clogged brush roll, or a sealed nozzle — pushes motor draw past the BMS overcurrent limit. The BMS cuts power to protect the cells, then resets once current demand drops. The fix is clearing the restriction, not replacing the battery again. After clearing, verify the battery rests at 16.4V or above on a multimeter before the next run — a cell resting below 14.8V after a full charge indicates a cell that needs replacement.

Frequently Asked Questions

The replacement battery charges fully but suction still fades out fast — what's wrong?

A partially blocked filter is the most common cause. When airflow is restricted, the motor pulls more current than rated to maintain suction, which drains the cell faster and triggers voltage sag earlier than normal. Remove and clean the filter before blaming the battery. If suction holds consistently after cleaning, the battery is functioning correctly — the filter was the load problem.

The vacuum motor cuts out for a few seconds mid-clean, then starts again on its own — is the battery faulty?

That's a BMS overcurrent trip, not a faulty cell. The BMS cuts power when sustained motor draw exceeds its protection threshold — usually caused by a clogged brush roll or blocked nozzle forcing the motor to work harder. Clear any obstruction and check the filter. If the cutout stops after clearing the blockage, the battery is working as intended — the trip was a protection response, not a failure.

The battery won't take a charge after sitting unused for several months — how do I recover it?

Extended storage allows Li-ion cells to self-discharge below the BMS re-initialisation threshold, which causes the charger to see no valid cell voltage and refuse to begin a charge cycle. Connect the battery to the charger and leave it for 30–60 minutes — some chargers apply a low-current pre-charge pulse that can wake a deeply discharged cell. If the charge indicator still does not activate, check cell voltage with a multimeter; a reading below 10V across the pack means the cells have discharged past safe recovery and the battery needs replacement.
