Fits Welpe R30 and R35 cordless vacuums, replacing the original 14.8V battery pack.
14.8V lithium-ion delivers 2600mAh capacity to restore full suction power on the R30 platform.
Connector slides straight into the battery slot with a positive-lock tab — seat until you hear the click.
We bench-tested this cell on the R30 motor load; the BMS held steady under sustained carpet suction without nuisance cutoff.
Remove this battery from the dock immediately after it reaches full charge — continuous dock contact causes capacity fade in cordless vacuums faster than periodic charging cycles.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Welpe R30 / R35 — 14.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is a 14.8V, 2600mAh Li-ion battery pack for the Welpe R30 and R35 cordless vacuum cleaners. It replaces the original pack when the cell can no longer hold enough charge to complete a cleaning run. Voltage and cell count match the original, so the motor draws correctly from first use.

  • R30 and R35 compatibility: Both models run the same 14.8V four-cell Li-ion architecture and use the same connector and BMS communication protocol. A battery built for one works in the other without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through full charge and discharge on R30 hardware. The BMS held cutoff voltage correctly at the low end and accepted charge termination from the standard Welpe charger without error codes.
  • Dock charging habit on the R30/R35: Do not leave the vacuum sitting on the charging dock permanently. Continuous dock charging causes trickle charge damage that degrades cell capacity faster than normal cycling. Charge the pack to full, then remove it from the dock.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low

This happens when the motor draws more current than rated — usually because a partially blocked filter is forcing it to work harder. The BMS detects the elevated draw and begins throttling output voltage before the fuel gauge trips its low-battery threshold. The vacuum feels like a dying battery when the actual problem is airflow restriction. Clean or replace the filter first, then retest — motor current should drop back to normal and suction will hold steady across the full charge cycle.

Motor cutting out mid-clean and then recovering after a few seconds

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When suction is sustained against a blockage or a heavily loaded filter, current spikes past the BMS protection threshold and the pack shuts output off temporarily. The BMS resets itself after a short cooldown, which is why the vacuum restarts without you doing anything. Clear any blockage, check the filter, and run again — if the cutout stops, the pack is fine. If it persists with a clean filter and clear nozzle, measure pack voltage at rest; it should read at least 16.0V on a full charge.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Welpe R30 suction has dropped noticeably but the battery indicator still shows plenty of charge — what's causing it?

A restricted filter forces the motor to pull more current than it's rated for, and the BMS responds by pulling output voltage down before the low-battery indicator trips. The vacuum loses suction power even though the pack still has capacity remaining. Pull out the filter and clean or replace it, then run the vacuum again. If suction recovers, the pack is not the issue — the filter was overloading the motor.

The motor on my R30 cuts out for a few seconds during use and then comes back on its own — is the battery failing?

That's a BMS overcurrent trip, not cell failure. When the motor sustains a high current draw — usually from a blockage or a clogged filter — the BMS cuts output to protect the cells, then resets after a brief cooldown. Check the nozzle for blockages and clean the filter before assuming the battery is at fault. If cutouts continue after clearing the airflow, charge the pack fully and measure terminal voltage — a healthy pack should read at least 16.0V after a full charge.

I've had my Welpe R30 sitting on the dock between every use for months — could that be why the battery barely lasts now?

Yes, continuous dock charging is one of the most common causes of capacity fade in cordless vacuums. Leaving the pack on the dock keeps it in a trickle charge state, which stresses Li-ion cells and reduces how much charge they can hold over time. A replacement pack will restore capacity, but the same pattern will degrade the new one at the same rate. Charge to full and remove the vacuum from the dock — only return it to charge when the pack is depleted.
