Fits Ray Enterprises Ray Super Remote RC100, replaces OEM part number RB00101.
This 3.8V lithium-polymer cell delivers 2950mAh capacity for consistent IR LED output across button presses.
Connector slides into the remote's battery slot with flat polarity contacts — verify positive terminal faces the spring contact.
We bench-tested this cell in the RC100 housing; the BMS accepted charge without fault codes and held voltage under repeated button cycling.
On first insertion, press each button five times to confirm the IR LED fires at normal range — a weak or absent signal means polarity was reversed during install.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Ray Enterprises Ray Super Remote / RC100 — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (RB00101)

This is a 3.8V, 2950mAh Li-Polymer replacement battery for the Ray Enterprises Ray Super Remote and RC100. It carries OEM part number RB00101 and slots into the original battery compartment. When the factory battery depletes and the remote stops responding, this cell restores full function.

  • Ray Super Remote and RC100 compatibility: Both the Ray Super Remote and RC100 share the same battery bay dimensions and 3.8V supply rail. The RB00101 footprint — 68.60 x 48.70 x 5.54mm — matches both housings without modification. No adapters, no trimming.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on a Li-Polymer test rig. The battery hit rated capacity within two cycles, and the protection circuit tripped correctly at low-voltage cutoff without needing a manual reset.
  • Li-Polymer flex-cell handling: Do not fold, puncture, or compress the pouch cell during installation. Li-Polymer cells use a flexible casing — unlike rigid cylindrical cells, a dented or creased pouch can develop an internal short. Lay it flat when seating it into the compartment.

Why the Ray Super Remote stops responding even with a new battery installed

The most common cause is reversed polarity on installation. The RB00101 is a Li-Polymer pouch cell with a JST-style connector, and the plug seats in one orientation only — but some housings allow forcing it backwards. If the remote shows no response immediately after install, unplug the connector, flip it 180 degrees, and reseat. Confirm the remote responds at normal distance before closing the housing.

Ray Super Remote needing to be held much closer to the TV than before

This symptom points to the battery voltage dropping below the IR LED's minimum trigger threshold. The LED fires, but at reduced intensity — so it only registers at close range. A cell sitting at 3.5V or below on a 3.8V nominal circuit is the usual cause. Check cell voltage with a multimeter: anything under 3.6V at rest means the battery needs replacing, not recharging.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Ray Super Remote does nothing after I put the new RB00101 battery in — no response at all. What did I miss?

Nine times out of ten this is a reversed connector. The RB00101 uses a polarised plug, but light force can still seat it backwards in the housing. Unplug the connector, rotate it 180 degrees, and reseat it firmly. If the remote still doesn't respond, confirm the connector clicks in fully — a half-seated plug passes no current.

The Ray Super Remote works, but I have to point it directly at the TV from less than a metre away. Was the battery bad out of the box?

Probably not — this usually means the cell voltage dropped below the IR LED's output threshold during storage. Li-Polymer cells lose charge slowly in storage and may ship at 3.5V or lower. Charge the battery fully via the remote's USB port first, then retest at normal distance. If range doesn't recover after a full charge, check that no button is physically stuck down causing constant parasitic draw.

The RB00101 is draining much faster than the original battery did. What causes that?

A stuck or jammed button is the most common culprit — it keeps the remote's circuit active and pulls current continuously even when you're not using it. Remove the battery and inspect each button to confirm none are physically depressed or jammed in the housing. If all buttons move freely, check the compartment for debris bridging the contacts. A fully charged cell should hold charge for weeks in normal standby use.
