Fits Razer Blade 15 2020 models; replaces OEM part RC30-0328.
15.4V, 4200mAh (64.68Wh) restores full capacity to this gaming laptop.
Connector seats flush into the battery bay with positive terminal forward; locking tab engages at the top edge.
We bench-tested this cell against the Blade 15 2020 power board; BMS accepted the pack and held stable voltage under sustained CPU load.
After installation, run one full discharge to hibernation then charge uninterrupted to 100% — this resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears inaccurate health warnings that appear after cell swaps.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Razer Blade 15 2020/2021 — 15.4V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (RC30-0328)

This is a 15.4V, 4200mAh (64.68Wh) Li-Polymer replacement battery for the Razer Blade 15 2020 and 2021 series, including RZ09-0330x and RZ09-03305x variants. It replaces OEM part RC30-0328 when the original cell degrades or fails to hold charge. Fits the standard battery bay without modification.

  • RZ09-0330x and RZ09-03305x compatibility: These Blade 15 variants share the same 15.4V battery rail, physical footprint, and connector pinout as the 2020 base model — the RC30-0328 part number covers all of them from the factory.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on a Blade 15 2020 unit. The BMS accepted the new cell without fault codes, and the charge controller advanced through each stage correctly to 100%.
  • Post-install discharge cycle: After fitting, run the laptop on battery until it hibernates at low-cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This forces the BIOS battery learn cycle to reset against the new cell data and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears after every cell swap.

Why the Blade 15 shuts down at 20–30% after a battery swap

The Blade 15 fuel gauge IC builds a discharge map against the old cell's internal resistance profile. After a swap, that map no longer matches the new cell's voltage curve, so the system reads an early voltage cliff and triggers an emergency shutdown. The fix is calibration — not a faulty battery. Run two to three full discharge-to-hibernate and uninterrupted-charge cycles. After that, the fuel gauge IC recalibrates its endpoint model and the shutdowns stop.

BIOS reporting battery health as poor immediately after fitting a new cell

The Blade 15 BIOS reads health data from EEPROM registers that were written by the original cell's charge history. A new cell arrives with fresh cycle counts and different EEPROM state, which the BIOS interprets as a mismatch and flags as poor health. This is a reporting artefact, not a hardware fault. Complete the full discharge-to-hibernate cycle described above — once the BIOS battery learn cycle finishes, the health status corrects to normal.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Blade 15 is showing the wrong Wh rating in system info after fitting this battery — is the cell actually a different capacity?

The Wh figure Windows or Razer Synapse reports pulls from the EEPROM data embedded in the battery's fuel gauge IC, not from a live measurement. New replacement cells carry rated chemistry values in EEPROM that can differ slightly from what the system previously stored for the original cell. The physical capacity is 64.68Wh as specified. Run two full discharge-to-100% cycles and the reported figure will converge as the fuel gauge IC maps the actual cell against its stored data.

The laptop charges fine but the fuel gauge jumps erratically — shows 60%, then 45%, then 70% within minutes of unplugging.

The fuel gauge IC on the Blade 15 uses a learned discharge curve to estimate remaining charge. After a cell swap, the old curve no longer matches the new cell's internal resistance, so the gauge interpolates incorrectly and produces wild swings. This is a calibration problem, not a wiring or connector fault. Run three full discharge cycles — let the laptop hibernate at low-cutoff each time, then charge uninterrupted to 100% — and the IC rebuilds an accurate curve against the new cell.

New battery installed but charge stops and holds at 80% — never goes higher even after hours on the charger.

The Blade 15 BIOS includes a charge-limit setting that caps charging at 80% to reduce cell stress during plugged-in use. This is a firmware-controlled threshold, not a fault with the replacement cell. Open Razer Synapse, go to Power and Battery, and check whether Battery Care Mode or the charge threshold is enabled — disabling it allows the cell to charge to 100%.
