Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Fujitsu LifeBook A512 / AH532 — 10.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery (CP567717-01)
This 10.8V, 4400mAh (47.52Wh) Li-ion battery replaces the original cell in the Fujitsu LifeBook A512, A532, AH532, and AH562 series notebooks. It matches OEM part numbers CP567717-01, FMVNBP213, FPCBP331, FPCBP342, and FPCBP347AP. The connector pinout and BMS communication protocol align with the original so the BIOS recognises the pack on first boot.
- LifeBook A-series and AH-series compatibility: The A512, A532, AH532, and AH562 share the same 10.8V three-cell-series architecture, identical battery bay dimensions, and the same SMBus BMS handshake. One pack covers all four platforms without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack on an AH532 unit and confirmed the BMS negotiated correctly with the BIOS on first insertion. Charge acceptance reached full 4400mAh capacity across three consecutive cycles with no cell balancing faults logged.
- First-cycle calibration on LifeBook systems: After installing, run one full discharge to hibernate-cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears in Fujitsu's power management utility after every cell swap.
Why the LifeBook A512 shuts down at 20–30% after a battery swap
The LifeBook BIOS builds a voltage-to-capacity curve from the previous cell's EEPROM data. When a new cell goes in, that curve no longer matches the actual chemistry. Under full CPU and display load the voltage drops faster than the old curve predicts, and the BIOS interprets a normal mid-discharge dip as a critically low state. The system forces a shutdown even though usable capacity remains. Running two complete discharge-to-hibernate and full-charge cycles overwrites the learned curve with data from the new cell and stops the premature cutoff.
Fuel gauge reading 0% or "unknown" immediately after fitting this pack
The fuel gauge IC on the LifeBook motherboard holds EEPROM values from the old cell — charge count, rated Wh, and internal resistance baseline. A fresh cell presents different impedance figures and the IC flags the mismatch as an unrecognised pack, displaying 0% or "unknown battery" in Windows power settings. This is not a fault with the replacement cell. Charge the pack to 100%, let it rest for ten minutes, then discharge fully to hibernate. After two of these full cycles the fuel gauge IC recalibrates against the new cell's actual data and the reading stabilises.

Frequently Asked Questions
The LifeBook A512 shows the new battery as "poor health" in the BIOS power menu — is the cell faulty?
No. The BIOS carries EEPROM health data written by the old cell, and a fresh pack scores poorly against that baseline on first boot. Run one full discharge to hibernate-cutoff followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100%. After that learn cycle completes, re-enter the BIOS and the health status will update to reflect the new cell's actual condition.
Windows is reporting this battery at 41Wh even though the product spec says 47.52Wh — why is there a discrepancy?
The Wh figure Windows displays is pulled from the cell's EEPROM rated value, which may differ slightly from the actual chemistry capacity in a compatible replacement. The cell itself delivers the full 47.52Wh during discharge — the reporting mismatch is a data field difference, not a capacity shortfall. Run two full discharge-and-charge cycles and Windows will recalculate design capacity against measured charge acceptance, bringing the displayed figure in line.
The LifeBook AH532 stops charging at exactly 80% and won't go higher — is this a fault with the replacement pack?
On many LifeBook BIOS versions, a charge limit feature is enabled by default and caps charging at 80% to reduce long-term cell stress. This is a firmware setting, not a battery fault. Open the Fujitsu Power Manager utility, navigate to Battery Saving Mode, and switch the charge threshold from 80% to 100%. If Power Manager is not installed, the same setting is available under Battery in the BIOS setup menu.
