Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Razer Blade Stealth i7-8565U / 2019 13 GTX Edition — 11.55V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (RC30-0281)
This 11.55V, 3600mAh (41.58Wh) Li-Polymer cell replaces the RC30-0281 battery in the Razer Blade Stealth i7-8565U, Blade Stealth 2019, and Blade Stealth 13 GTX Edition. It fits the 13.3-inch ultrabook chassis and matches the original connector pinout and BMS communication protocol. Voltage and capacity figures come directly from the OEM specification for this platform.
- Blade Stealth 13 platform fit: The i7-8565U, 2019, and GTX Edition models share the same 3-cell Li-Polymer pack geometry, 11.55V nominal rail, and RC30-0281 part number. The BMS handshake uses the same EEPROM addressing across all listed variants, so one cell works across the full Blade Stealth 13 line.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell on a Blade Stealth 13 chassis and confirmed the BMS initialised without fault codes, accepted a full charge cycle, and reported Wh capacity within normal tolerance in the Windows battery report.
- Post-swap BIOS learn cycle: After installing, run one full discharge to the hibernate cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears after every cell swap on this platform.
BIOS reporting poor battery health immediately after replacement
The Razer BIOS reads health data stored in the old cell's EEPROM and compares it against the new cell during the first boot. The replacement cell has no charge history, so the firmware flags it as degraded before any calibration has occurred. This is not a fault with the cell — it is a firmware timing issue. Run one full discharge-to-hibernate then a full uninterrupted charge to 100%; the BIOS recalibrates and the health warning clears.
Blade Stealth shutting down at 20–30% charge shown on screen
This happens when the fuel gauge IC has not yet mapped the new cell's voltage curve. Under full CPU and display load, the voltage drops faster than the uncalibrated gauge expects, and the system interprets it as a hard cutoff threshold. The laptop shuts down even though the gauge still shows charge remaining. Run two to three full discharge-and-charge cycles; the fuel gauge IC tracks the actual voltage cliff on the new cell and the early shutdowns stop.

Frequently Asked Questions
Razer Synapse and Windows both show my new battery as 0% or "unknown" right after fitting it — what's going on?
The fuel gauge IC on the Blade Stealth reads EEPROM data written by the original cell. A fresh replacement cell has no stored history, so both Synapse and the Windows battery report return either 0% or an unknown state on the first boot. This is expected behaviour on this platform, not a faulty cell. Run one full discharge to hibernate cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%, and the gauge IC will initialise correctly against the new cell.
Windows battery report shows my new RC30-0281 cell as 38Wh designed capacity but the spec says 41.58Wh — is the cell underspec?
The Windows battery report pulls the designed capacity figure from the cell's EEPROM, which stores the OEM-rated value at manufacture. Small discrepancies between the EEPROM-reported Wh and the actual chemistry capacity appear on nearly every Blade Stealth swap and do not indicate an underspec cell. The number will stabilise closer to the rated 41.58Wh after the fuel gauge IC completes two to three full calibration cycles. Check the full charge capacity figure in the battery report after three cycles — it should read within 5% of 41.58Wh.
My Blade Stealth stops charging at exactly 80% and won't go higher — is the new battery defective?
The Blade Stealth BIOS includes a charge limit feature, sometimes called Battery Health Charging, that caps charging at 80% when it has been enabled — this is a firmware setting, not a cell fault. Open Razer Synapse, go to the Power tab, and check the Battery Health Charging setting; switching it to Full Capacity mode removes the 80% cap immediately. If Synapse is not installed, the same setting is accessible in the UEFI firmware settings under the Power menu.
