Fits Razer Viper Ultimate and Viper V2 Pro wireless gaming mice using OEM part US702428P.
3.7V, 500mAh Li-Polymer cell delivers sufficient voltage for stable wireless connectivity and onboard RGB polling.
Connector slides into the battery slot with no locking tab — orientation is keyed by contact alignment.
We bench tested this cell in the Viper Ultimate; BMS accepted the pack on first insertion without fault codes.
On initial power-up after swap, hold the pairing button for three seconds — Razer's Bluetooth stack requires handshake reset after full power loss.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Razer Viper Ultimate / Viper V2 Pro — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (US702428P)

This 3.7V, 500mAh Li-Polymer battery replaces the internal rechargeable cell in the Razer Viper Ultimate and Viper V2 Pro wireless gaming mice. It fits RC30-030501 and RZ01-0439 variants along with three additional confirmed models in that lineup. Swap it in when the original cell no longer holds a useful charge or fails to charge at all.

  • Viper Ultimate and Viper V2 Pro platform fit: Both mice share the same battery bay geometry, connector orientation, and BMS handshake voltage. The US702428P cell works across the full platform without modification to the battery contacts or firmware.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through the Viper Ultimate's charge circuit and confirmed the BMS accepted the cell without triggering a fault state. The charge IC ramped through pre-charge, constant current, and constant voltage phases cleanly.
  • Li-Polymer storage voltage for wireless mice: If you're shelving the mouse for more than a few weeks, discharge the cell to around 3.7–3.8V before storing. Storing at full charge accelerates capacity fade in small-format Li-Polymer cells at this capacity range.

Why the Viper Ultimate's pointer stutters and polling rate drops before the battery reads empty

The Viper Ultimate's wireless receiver maintains a 1000Hz polling rate under normal voltage. Once cell voltage sags below roughly 3.5V under load, the mouse firmware throttles the polling rate to reduce current draw and extend operation. This shows up as intermittent pointer lag or micro-stutters that feel like interference but are actually a voltage-driven power saving response. The battery gauge may still show one or two bars because resting voltage recovers slightly when the mouse is idle.

Mouse not reconnecting to USB receiver after battery replacement

A full power loss during the swap clears the mouse's active pairing state in some firmware revisions. The USB receiver doesn't automatically re-establish the link because it's waiting for a handshake the mouse never sends after a cold start. Unplug the USB receiver, hold the pairing button on the bottom of the mouse for three seconds, then re-insert the receiver while the pairing LED is blinking. The mouse should reconnect at that point.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Viper Ultimate pointer is lagging and skipping even with a new battery installed — what's wrong?

Check that the new cell is seated fully and the connector is clicked in — a partially connected Li-Polymer cell delivers unstable voltage that causes the same polling-rate drop as a depleted battery. If the connection is solid, unplug and replug the USB receiver to force a fresh sync. Pointer stutter that appears immediately after a battery swap is almost always a connector seating issue, not a firmware problem. Re-seat the cell, confirm you hear the connector click, then test again.

The Viper Ultimate charges but the battery percentage never climbs above 80% — is the new cell faulty?

This usually means the charge cycle was interrupted before the constant-voltage phase completed. The Viper Ultimate's charge IC needs the mouse to stay connected to power through the full taper phase, which continues even after the indicator light changes. Plug it in and leave it undisturbed for at least 90 minutes from a near-empty state without moving the mouse or triggering the sensor. If the gauge still caps at 80% after a full uninterrupted charge, reset the battery calibration by fully draining the cell to auto-shutoff and then completing one uninterrupted charge cycle.

My Viper Ultimate battery drains noticeably faster than before — the RGB is off and I haven't changed any settings.

Small-format Li-Polymer cells at 500mAh degrade faster than larger cells when repeatedly charged from shallow discharge levels. Charging from 60–70% repeatedly instead of letting the cell drop lower compresses the usable cycle count significantly at this capacity. The 1000Hz polling rate and wireless transmitter are constant draws, so even minor capacity fade becomes obvious quickly. If the cell is the original and the mouse has seen heavy daily use, capacity loss is expected — the US702428P replacement restores the original 500mAh rating.
