Fits Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro and 6 Pro Premium Edition, replaces OEM part BN47.
3.85V, 3900mAh Li-Polymer cell restores full capacity when original degrades from normal charge cycles.
Connector slides vertically into battery slot with locking tab at base — confirm seat before reassembly.
Bench test showed stable voltage delivery under modem and screen load with no early voltage cliff.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle so the fuel gauge IC recalibrates against the new cell discharge curve before high-current charging resumes.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Redmi 6 Pro / M1805D1SE — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BN47)

This is a 3900mAh Li-Polymer cell rated at 3.85V (15.02Wh), built to replace the OEM BN47 battery in the Redmi 6 Pro and 6 Pro Premium Edition Dual SIM. It fits the M1805D1SE, M1805D1SC, and related model variants. If your phone no longer holds charge through a normal day, this cell restores capacity without replacing the handset.

  • 6 Pro model family compatibility: The M1805D series shares the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. All listed variants accept the BN47 form factor — 81.62 × 62.45 × 4.26mm — without any physical modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the Redmi 6 Pro platform. The BMS accepted the cell without error flags, thermal cutoff held within normal bounds, and the charge IC communicated correctly throughout the test cycle.
  • First-cycle fuel gauge reset: After installation, disable fast charging and run one full discharge down to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before fast-charge current is applied to an uncalibrated cell.

Why the Redmi 6 Pro reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap

The fuel gauge IC on the Redmi 6 Pro uses a coulomb counter that was calibrated against the discharge curve of the original, degraded cell. When a fresh 3900mAh cell goes in, the IC has no reference for the new cell's voltage-to-capacity relationship. It will over- or under-report percentage until it learns the curve. One complete discharge-charge cycle without interruption corrects this — the IC re-anchors its endpoints at 0% and 100% against the actual cell behaviour.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on a replacement cell

This happens when the modem, screen, or processor pulls a short burst of high current and the battery voltage drops below the BMS cutoff threshold — even though the displayed percentage looks safe. On a freshly installed cell with an uncalibrated fuel gauge, the IC has not yet learned where the voltage cliff actually sits. The phone cuts out because the BMS sees voltage fall below approximately 3.2V under load, not because the cell is empty. Run one full calibration cycle first, then check whether shutdowns continue — if they persist past that, verify the replacement cell seated fully against the connector.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Redmi 6 Pro won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months — is the cell dead?

It is most likely in BMS lockout. Li-Polymer cells that self-discharge below roughly 2.5V trigger a protection cutoff that blocks normal startup. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a PC port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes before attempting to power on. If the charge IC detects enough voltage recovery, the BMS will release the lockout and the device will boot normally.

Fast charging stopped working on my Redmi 6 Pro right after I swapped the battery — it only charges slowly now.

The Redmi 6 Pro's charge controller runs a handshake with the battery BMS before enabling high-current charging. On the first cycle after a cell swap, some BMS units do not pass this handshake immediately and the charge IC falls back to standard 5V/1A input. Run one full standard charge to 100% without interruption. On the next charge cycle the BMS handshake completes correctly and fast charging re-enables — you will see the phone warm slightly as current steps up.

The battery percentage on my Redmi 6 Pro jumps around erratically — it reads 45%, drops to 12%, then jumps back up.

This is the coulomb counter recalibrating against the new cell's discharge curve. The fuel gauge IC still holds the endpoint map from the old degraded cell, so voltage readings at mid-range states of charge do not match the stored curve, and the percentage calculation swings. Discharge the phone fully until it shuts itself off, then charge in one uninterrupted session to 100%. After that single cycle the IC re-anchors both endpoints and percentage reporting stabilises.
