Fits Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro and replaces OEM part number BN47.
3.85V, 3900mAh Li-Polymer cell powers calls, messaging, and app load without voltage sag.
Connector slides into the battery slot with contact alignment; locking tab seats flush against housing.
We bench-tested the BMS against the Redmi 6 Pro fuel gauge IC — no early cutoff, clean voltage curve under sustained load.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle so the coulomb counter recalibrates against the new cell curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BN47)

This is a 3.85V, 3900mAh (15.02Wh) Li-Polymer cell built to the BN47 specification. It fits the Redmi 6 Pro, Redmi 6 Pro Premium Edition Dual SIM, M1805D1SE, M1805D1SC, and related variants. If your original BN47 cell swells, drops capacity sharply, or fails to hold charge through a normal day, this is the direct swap.

  • Redmi 6 Pro platform fit: The M1805D1SE and M1805D1SC share the same battery bay dimensions and BMS handshake protocol, which is why BN47 covers the full variant range — the connector pinout and charge IC communication are identical across all listed models.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through a full discharge-charge sequence on a Redmi 6 Pro unit and confirmed the BMS accepted the charge handshake without error flags. Cell voltage settled at 4.35V at full charge, within spec for Li-Polymer on this platform.
  • First-cycle fuel gauge reset: After fitting this cell, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-charge cycle at standard rate. This gives the fuel gauge IC time to map its coulomb counter against the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging begins on an uncalibrated cell.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Redmi 6 Pro after a cell swap

This is a voltage cliff issue, not a capacity fault. Under peak modem load or screen brightness, the new cell's internal resistance causes voltage to sag below the BMS cutoff threshold even though the fuel gauge still reads 20–30%. The fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old, degraded cell's discharge curve, so the percentage shown is inaccurate. Run two full discharge cycles from 100% to auto-off without fast charging — the coulomb counter recalibrates itself and the shutdowns stop.

USB fast charge not accepted by the Redmi 6 Pro on the first cycle after replacement

After a cell swap, the charge IC on the Redmi 6 Pro may not negotiate the Xiaomi proprietary fast charge protocol on the first cycle because the BMS needs a baseline slow-charge cycle to initialise communication with the new cell. Plug into the stock charger and let it charge at standard rate to 100% without interruption. On the next cycle, fast charging resumes normally. If it still does not engage after two full cycles, check that the charge port flex cable was not disturbed during the battery replacement.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Redmi 6 Pro shuts off at around 25% after fitting the BN47 replacement — is the new battery faulty?

It is not a faulty cell. The fuel gauge IC is still running on the discharge curve it mapped from the old, degraded battery, so the percentage shown does not match the new cell's actual voltage. Under modem or display load, voltage sags below the BMS cutoff before the counter hits 0%. Run two full discharge-charge cycles at standard rate without fast charging — the coulomb counter recalibrates and the shutdowns stop.

The phone feels warm near the battery during charging with the new BN47 cell — is this normal?

A new Li-Polymer cell has slightly higher internal impedance than a broken-in cell, so the charge IC pushes through more resistive heat on the first few cycles. The warmth should reduce noticeably after three to four full charge cycles as the cell's impedance settles. If the phone becomes hot enough to be uncomfortable to hold, check that the replacement cell is seated flat with no pinched flex cable causing charge IC errors. Surface temperature above 45°C is the point to stop charging and inspect the installation.

The Redmi 6 Pro won't power on after the BN47 cell sat unused for several months — how do I recover it?

A Li-Polymer cell stored at low charge can drop below 2.5V per cell, triggering the BMS lockout to prevent damage — the phone will not respond to the power button or show a charging indicator. Connect the original Xiaomi charger and leave it untouched for 20–30 minutes; the charge IC trickle-charges the cell back above the BMS recovery threshold before switching to normal charge current. Once the charging indicator appears on screen, the BMS has re-initialised and the phone will boot normally.
