This is a 3.7V, 720mAh Li-ion replacement cell for the Rich HD-TD910, T-1200, and ZUP-120 compact digital cameras. It slots into the same battery compartment as the original cell and connects via the same three-contact interface. Capacity is 720mAh (2.66Wh), matching the original specification.

The camera reads the voltage, compares it to the table, and can display a low or dead indicator even when the cell still holds usable charge. Running one full in-body charge cycle recalibrates this mapping. After that cycle, the indicator tracks reliably through a normal discharge.

Battery percentage jumping erratically during shooting

This happens when the camera's fuel gauge hasn't synced to the new cell's discharge curve. The BMS samples voltage at intervals — if the curve doesn't match expectations, the percentage reading skips between values rather than stepping down steadily. Flash firing and continuous autofocus create sharp current spikes that temporarily drop cell voltage, which the BMS can misread as a steeper capacity drop. Complete one full discharge-to-cutoff and recharge cycle inside the camera body. After that, the indicator stabilises and the reading reflects actual remaining charge within a normal margin.

My HD-TD910 shows "no battery" or refuses to power on with the new cell installed — what's happening?

This is usually a BMS authentication check on the camera body failing at first contact with a new cell. The fix is to insert the cell and connect the OEM charger directly to the camera body — let it complete a full charge cycle before attempting to power on. The in-body charge handshake signals the BMS to accept the cell. After one full charge cycle this way, the body powers on normally.

Shot count dropped noticeably compared to the original battery — why isn't this cell lasting as long?

Flash recycling, continuous autofocus, optical stabilisation, and LCD brightness all draw current beyond the baseline figure used to calculate rated shot count. If you're shooting with flash on every frame or in continuous AF mode, draw is significantly higher than the spec assumes. Check whether stabilisation is enabled during video — combined sensor readout and image stabilisation pull steady current that compounds quickly on a 720mAh cell. Reduce flash frequency or switch to single-shot AF to bring shot count closer to rated figures.

The battery percentage reads full, then drops sharply to low within a few shots — is the cell faulty?

This is a voltage-sag symptom, not necessarily a faulty cell. When flash or motor-driven zoom pulls a brief high-current spike, cell voltage dips sharply — the BMS reads that dip as a steep capacity drop and updates the indicator accordingly. It's most pronounced when the cell is new and hasn't completed a calibration cycle. Run one full discharge from 100% down to automatic camera shutoff, then charge fully inside the body. If the sharp drop persists after two full cycles, check the cell resting voltage with a multimeter — it should read between 3.6V and 4.2V at rest with no load.
