Fits Phisung HDV-D505SC dash camera; replaces OEM battery CS-KLIC7001 for continuous vehicle recording.
3.7V 720mAh lithium-ion cell delivers consistent voltage to the dash camera sensor and recording processor throughout discharge cycles.
Compact form factor slides into the HDV-D505SC battery slot with standard connector orientation; locking tab holds flush against camera body housing.
Bench testing showed stable BMS handshake on first insertion; voltage discharge curve remained linear across full capacity load without early cutoff events.
On first charge in the camera body itself, the HDV-D505SC firmware logs the new cell profile — charge fully before extended recording to avoid mid-drive shutdown from unrecognized capacity.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Phisung HDV-D505SC — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This 3.7V 720mAh (2.66Wh) Li-ion cell replaces the original internal battery in the Phisung HDV-D505SC dash camera. The HDV-D505SC is a vehicle-mounted recording device used for continuous road footage capture. When the original cell loses capacity or fails to hold charge, this replacement restores normal recording operation.

  • HDV-D505SC fit: The HDV-D505SC uses a slim 5.60mm cell at 3.7V nominal — the same voltage rail the camera's BMS expects to recognise a valid cell on startup. Physical dimensions are 39.50 × 35.40 × 5.60mm, matching the original bay without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on a calibrated rig. The BMS handshake completed normally on first connect. Cell voltage held within expected tolerances across the full discharge curve.
  • Dash camera loop-recording draw: The HDV-D505SC writes continuously to the card while the vehicle is running. Avoid removing power mid-write — always let the camera complete its file save cycle before cutting power to prevent corrupted footage segments.

Why the HDV-D505SC shows a dead battery indicator on a fresh replacement cell

The HDV-D505SC maps its battery indicator to voltage thresholds calibrated during manufacture against the original cell's discharge curve. A new replacement cell shipped at storage voltage — typically around 3.6–3.7V — can read as critically low or empty on the camera's display even when the cell is not depleted. Performing one full charge cycle through the camera before relying on the indicator resets this mapping. After that first cycle, the display accurately reflects remaining capacity.

Battery percentage jumping erratically on the HDV-D505SC display

This happens when the camera's voltage-to-percentage translation doesn't yet match the new cell's discharge curve. The original cell's curve is baked into the firmware thresholds — a replacement cell with slightly different internal resistance reads as a different voltage under load, causing the indicator to skip steps. The fix is two full charge-discharge cycles through normal camera use. After cycling, the readings stabilise because the BMS has sampled enough voltage-load points to interpolate accurately.

Frequently Asked Questions

My HDV-D505SC starts recording then cuts out after a few seconds — why is the new battery doing this?

The camera's BMS trips on voltage sag during the write cycle if the cell hasn't been fully initialised. At storage charge, internal resistance is higher than at a full charge, so the voltage dips below the BMS cutoff threshold the moment the sensor and card writer both draw current together. Charge the replacement cell fully before first use — the camera needs to see the cell hold above 3.7V under load to stay on. Run one complete charge cycle and the cutoff trips should stop.

The HDV-D505SC won't recognise the replacement battery at all — screen stays blank on startup.

This is a BMS authentication check failing on first contact. The camera polls the cell on power-up and expects the voltage to sit within a narrow window — if the replacement shipped at low storage voltage, it falls outside that window and the camera treats it as no battery present. Connect the camera to its charging cable for a full charge before pressing power. Once the cell reaches approximately 4.0V, the startup handshake completes and the camera boots normally.

The HDV-D505SC runs fine parked in shade but cuts recording short on hot days — is that the battery?

Yes — elevated cabin temperatures push Li-ion cell temperature above the BMS thermal cutoff, which is typically set around 45–60°C depending on the cell's protection circuit. The HDV-D505SC mounts close to the windscreen, where direct sun can heat the unit beyond ambient air temperature. Park the camera away from direct sun exposure where possible, or use a reflective windscreen shade. If the camera is warm to the touch when it cuts out, let it cool to ambient temperature and it will restart normally.
