Fits Robomow RX50, RT700, and RT300 models — replaces OEM part numbers MRK9200A, BAT9101A, and BAT9102A.
10.8V lithium-ion at 10400mAh delivers full cutting power through dense grass without voltage sag cutoff.
Connector slides straight into the charging dock; locking tab seats flush against the mower's battery bay.
Bench test shows clean BMS handshake on first insertion; no fault codes on repeated charge cycles.
Before first spring use, bring this pack indoors overnight if stored below 10°C — cold Li-ion cells trigger blade motor inrush cutoff on thick turf.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Robomow RX50 / RT700 / RT300 — 10.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery (MRK9200A)

This is a 10.8V, 10400mAh (112.32Wh) lithium-ion battery for the Robomow RX50, RT700 2021, RT700 2022, RT300 2021, and related models. It replaces OEM part numbers MRK9200A, BAT9101A, and BAT9102A. The battery slots into the mower's battery compartment and connects to the same BMS handshake the charger dock expects.

  • RX50, RT700, and RT300 compatibility: These models share the same 10.8V battery platform, connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol — that's why one pack covers the full range across the 2021 and 2022 model years.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through the Robomow charging dock and confirmed the BMS handshake initialised correctly. The charger accepted the pack without fault codes, and cell balance across the pack held within spec after full charge.
  • Seasonal storage tip: Before first use of the season, bring the battery indoors overnight if temperatures are below 10°C. Cold Li-ion cells have higher internal resistance, and the blade motor's inrush current can trip the BMS on a cold pack before the mower completes its first row.

BMS cutoff under thick grass and wet-lawn blade load

The Robomow blade motor draws significantly more current when cutting dense or wet grass — peak inrush can exceed the BMS's continuous discharge threshold. When that happens, the BMS cuts power to protect the cells, and the mower stops mid-run. A new pack with full cell capacity handles these load spikes better than a degraded original battery, but no pack is immune. If cutouts persist in heavy conditions, mow in overlapping passes at a slower area setting to reduce sustained blade load.

Charger dock shows fault light after winter storage

If the mower sat unpowered in a cold garage all winter, the cells may have self-discharged below the charger's acceptance voltage — typically around 9V for a 10.8V Li-ion pack. The dock's fault light or refusal to charge is the BMS rejecting a pack it reads as over-discharged. Try leaving the battery at room temperature for two hours, then reconnecting to the dock. If the charger still won't accept it, the cells have dropped below recovery threshold and the pack needs replacing — which is the situation this battery resolves.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Robomow cuts out halfway through a row in thick grass then starts again after a few minutes — what's happening?

That's thermal protection triggering under high blade load. When the motor works hard through dense or wet grass, current draw spikes and the BMS trips to protect the cells — the mower recovers once internal temperature drops. Allow at least a 5-minute cooldown before restarting, and reduce the mowing area setting so the mower makes shorter, lighter passes. A degraded original battery trips this threshold earlier because aged cells sag more under load — a replacement pack at full capacity raises that headroom.

The charger dock was blinking a fault code all spring after the mower sat in the garage since October — is the battery dead?

Most likely the cells self-discharged below the dock's acceptance voltage over winter storage. Robomow chargers reject packs that read below roughly 9V because attempting to fast-charge a deeply discharged Li-ion pack risks cell damage. Leave the battery at room temperature for two to three hours and reconnect — some docks will then begin a slow recovery charge. If the fault persists after warming, the cells are below recoverable voltage and the pack needs replacing before the dock will operate normally again.

The new battery feels warmer than my old one after the first few charges — should I be concerned?

No — that's normal during the first five charge-discharge cycles. Fresh Li-ion cells undergo a conditioning process where the electrolyte stabilises across the electrode surfaces, and that generates slightly more heat than a broken-in pack. Surface temperature should drop to the same level as a normal charge by cycle five or six. If the pack is still noticeably hot to the touch after that point, check that the battery compartment cover is fully seated — restricted airflow around the pack extends heat build-up after each mowing session.
