Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Rowenta RH8825WI / 2D2 Series — 25.9V Li-ion Replacement Battery (RS-RH5274)
This 25.9V, 2500mAh lithium-ion battery pack replaces the OEM RS-RH5274 unit in Rowenta cordless stick vacuums. It fits the RH8825WI / 2D2, RH8827WO / 2D0 and 2D2, RH8828WO / 2D0, and over 70 additional models in the same platform. Voltage, capacity, and connector match the original specification.
- RH88-series platform fit: These models share a common 25.9V seven-cell Li-ion architecture, the same bayonet-style connector, and a BMS that expects a matched voltage rail on startup. Swapping to a different voltage pack triggers an immediate protection cutoff — this battery stays within spec so the BMS handshake completes normally.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through full charge and discharge on the RH8825WI motor load. The BMS held steady under sustained suction draws, recovered correctly after a simulated blockage trip, and showed no voltage sag outside acceptable limits at the motor terminals.
- Dock charging practice for the RH88 series: Do not leave the vacuum sitting on the charging dock permanently. The RH88 charger does not cut to zero once the pack is full — it continues a low trickle. Remove the vacuum from the dock when the charge light confirms full, and reconnect only when noticeably depleted.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low
On the RH88 series, the battery indicator tracks cell voltage at rest, not under load. A partially clogged filter forces the motor to draw more current than rated, which pulls the pack voltage down sharply mid-run — enough to reduce motor speed — while the indicator still reads mid-range. The battery is not the cause; the motor is brownout-starving. Clean the filter and check the cyclone inlet for blockage before concluding the new battery is underperforming.
Motor cuts out completely then recovers after a few seconds
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a cell failure. When sustained suction restriction — blocked nozzle, saturated filter, or hair wrapped around the brush roll — forces the motor to pull beyond the BMS current threshold, the pack shuts output to protect the cells. The BMS resets automatically once the current draw drops, which is why the vacuum restarts after a short pause. Clear the restriction first; if cut-outs continue on an unobstructed vacuum, check that the charger brought the pack to 29.4V before use.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Rowenta stick vacuum suctions fine for a minute then noticeably loses power — is that the new battery?
Likely not the battery. A restricted filter forces the motor to draw excess current, which drags pack voltage down under load even when cells are healthy. The battery indicator still reads mid-range because it samples at rest, not under load. Clean the filter and cyclone inlet, then run again — if suction stays consistent, the pack is fine.
The vacuum cut out completely mid-use and restarted on its own a few seconds later — what happened?
The BMS tripped on an overcurrent event. Sustained restriction — blocked nozzle, full filter, or tangled brush roll — pushes motor draw past the pack's protection threshold, and the BMS shuts output until current drops. Clear any blockage, then confirm the battery charged fully to 29.4V before the next run. If cut-outs continue on an unobstructed machine, the charger connection is the next thing to check.
The replacement battery fades noticeably faster than the original did when it was new — what causes that?
Continuous dock charging is the most common cause on the RH88 series. The charger does not fully cut off once the pack is full and the ongoing trickle degrades cell capacity over weeks. Remove the vacuum from the dock as soon as the charge indicator confirms full, store it off the dock, and reconnect only when the pack is genuinely depleted — that cycle pattern preserves usable capacity significantly longer.
