Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

SABO Professional E-POWER Cordless Hedge Trimmer & Lawn Care — 56V Li-ion Replacement Battery
This is a 56V 6000mAh lithium-ion replacement pack for the SABO Professional E-POWER cordless platform. It fits hedge trimmers, blowers, and related cordless tools that share the BA6720T battery connector and 56V voltage rail. Capacity is rated at 336Wh.
- BA6720T platform compatibility: SABO unified their Professional E-POWER range around a single voltage rail and connector so one pack moves between hedge cutters, trimmers, and blowers without adapters — this replacement slots into all of them the same way.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran full charge/discharge cycles — the BMS held voltage steady under load and cut off cleanly at the low-voltage threshold without tripping the tool's protection circuit.
- First charge on a new Li-ion pack: Run the battery to low-voltage cutoff on first use, then charge fully before storing — this calibrates the BMS state-of-charge readings and keeps capacity reporting accurate over time.
Why the 56V rail matters for hedge trimmer motor loads
Hedge trimmers pull hard current spikes when blades jam against thick stems. A 56V system handles those spikes at lower amperage than a 40V pack would, reducing heat buildup in both the motor windings and the battery cells. The BA6720T BMS monitors cell temperature and load current simultaneously, throttling output before thermal stress can degrade capacity. Keeping the pack out of direct sun during use helps the BMS stay within its comfortable operating window.
Pack not recognised by the tool after fitting — here's why
If the tool shows no power or flashes an error immediately after inserting a new pack, the BMS has likely shipped in a deep-sleep state to protect cells during transit. Connect the pack to the charger for five minutes before inserting it into the tool — this wakes the protection circuit and allows the handshake between pack and tool to complete normally. A full charge cycle after that clears the issue permanently.

Frequently Asked Questions
My SABO hedge trimmer cuts out halfway through the hedge and won't restart for a few minutes — what's wrong?
This is thermal cutoff triggering on the 56V pack — the battery's protection circuit shuts down current when cell temperature hits the threshold, which happens faster when cutting dense or woody growth on a warm day. The arc-shaped housing helps dissipate heat, but continuous heavy load on a 6Ah pack will still trip the cutout if airflow around the battery is blocked by debris or a poorly seated latch. Let the pack rest in shade, not on hot concrete, then check whether the restart time shortens — if it does, heat is the cause. After it cools, press the battery firmly until it clicks; a partially seated connection raises internal resistance and generates extra heat before the cut even happens.
I swapped this battery between my SABO trimmer and blower and now the blower runs noticeably weaker than it used to — is the battery damaged?
Voltage sag under load is the likely cause, not permanent damage — a 56V lithium pack that's been repeatedly run down to near-empty will show a steeper sag curve, meaning the terminal voltage drops faster once the blower motor draws hard. This reads to the tool's electronics as a lower-charge state, so it throttles output before the pack is actually flat. Charge the battery fully, then check the indicator LEDs immediately before using the blower; if it shows full charge but still feels weak under load, the pack's internal resistance has risen from deep-discharge cycling. Run a full charge and discharge cycle once and retest before assuming the pack needs replacing.
The charger just keeps blinking and never finishes charging my SABO BA6720T — it's been on there for hours.
A persistent blink without reaching full charge usually means the charger detected a cell voltage that was either too low to begin a normal charge cycle or outside the acceptable temperature window when charging started. If the pack sat unused for weeks, one or more cells may have drifted below the recovery threshold — some chargers will attempt a slow recovery pulse, others will fault and stop. Remove the pack, leave it at room temperature for 30 minutes, then reinsert it and watch the first 60 seconds: if the blink pattern changes from the fault pattern to a steady or slower pulse, recovery charging has started and you should leave it alone. If the fault blink resumes immediately, check the contact pins on both the battery and charger for corrosion or debris before concluding the pack won't recover.
