Fits Samsung Galaxy A51 2019 models SM-A515F and SM-A515N, replaces OEM part EB-BA515ABY.
3.85V lithium-polymer cell at 3900mAh capacity restores full-day runtime on the A51 after typical degradation from 500+ charge cycles.
Connector slides straight into the battery cavity with the flex tab oriented toward the top-left corner of the phone chassis.
We bench-tested this pack on a Galaxy A51 motherboard — the fuel gauge IC accepted the new cell voltage curve without lockout on insertion.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle so the coulomb counter recalibrates against the new cell curve before high-current charging resumes.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Samsung Galaxy A51 2019 — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (EB-BA515ABY)

This 3.85V, 3900mAh Li-Polymer battery replaces the original cell in the Samsung Galaxy A51 2019 (SM-A515F/N, SM-A515F/DST, SM-A515F/DSN and four additional variants). It matches OEM part numbers EB-BA515ABY and EB-BA515ABE. Install it when the original cell no longer holds a full charge after repeated cycle degradation.

  • SM-A515 series compatibility: All SM-A515 variants share the same 3.85V charge architecture, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. One cell covers the full model range without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell on an SM-A515F through full charge and load cycles. The BMS accepted the charge IC handshake correctly, protection thresholds triggered at expected cutoff voltages, and no fault codes were logged during discharge.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-charge cycle at standard rate. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated coulomb counter.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Galaxy A51 after a cell swap

A new cell has a slightly different internal resistance profile than the aged cell the fuel gauge IC was trained on. Under high-load spikes — modem transmit bursts or screen-on wake events — the cell voltage drops sharply, hitting the BMS low-voltage cutoff even though the OS still shows 20–30% remaining. The fuel gauge IC hasn't yet correlated its coulomb counter to the new cell's actual voltage curve. One full discharge to automatic shutdown followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% corrects the calibration.

USB-PD fast charge not activating on the first cycle after replacement

On the first charge after installation, the charge IC may not negotiate the Adaptive Fast Charging handshake because the BMS reports an uncalibrated state. The phone defaults to standard 5V charging as a safety measure. This is not a fault with the cell or charger. Complete one full standard-rate charge cycle first — fast charging typically re-enables automatically on the second charge once the BMS clears its initialisation flag.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Galaxy A51 shuts off at around 25% battery after fitting a new cell — is something wrong with the replacement?

Nothing is wrong with the cell itself. The fuel gauge IC was calibrated to the discharge curve of your old, degraded battery. The new cell has lower internal resistance, so its voltage drop under load doesn't match the stored curve — the BMS hits its cutoff voltage before the gauge reaches zero. Run one full discharge to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% at standard rate. That single cycle recalibrates the coulomb counter to the new cell.

The Galaxy A51 won't power on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months — how do I recover it?

Li-Polymer cells in storage self-discharge over time. If the cell dropped below approximately 2.5V, the BMS enters lockout to prevent cell damage and blocks normal power-on. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a PC port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC trickle-charges the cell back above the BMS re-enable threshold (typically 3.0V), after which the phone will boot normally.

The battery percentage on my A51 keeps jumping around erratically — it reads 60%, then drops to 41%, then climbs back up without charging.

Erratic percentage readings after a cell swap mean the fuel gauge IC is actively recalibrating its coulomb counter against the new cell's discharge characteristics. The IC stores a learned model of the old cell and discards it incrementally as it collects new data. Avoid interrupting charges during this period — partial charges slow the recalibration. After two or three complete discharge-charge cycles from 100% down to automatic shutdown, the percentage readings stabilise.
