Fits Galaxy Tab A7 10.4 2020 models SM-T500, SM-T505, SM-T503 — replaces SCUD-WT-N19 battery pack.
3.85V lithium-polymer cell rated 6800mAh delivers consistent voltage to the display and WiFi radio without step-down loss.
Connector seats into the internal slot with flat orientation — no locking tab, slides straight in and clips flush against the frame.
We charged this cell in a Galaxy Tab A7 chassis and watched the BMS accept the new pack within two cycles with no fault signals.
After installation, run one full discharge to automatic shutoff then charge uninterrupted to 100% — this resets the fuel gauge IC calibration against the new cell and resolves inaccurate percentage display.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 10.4 2020 — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (SCUD-WT-N19)

This is a 3.85V, 6800mAh (26.18Wh) lithium-polymer cell for the Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 10.4 2020. It fits SM-T500, SM-T503, and SM-T505 variants. Install it when the original cell no longer holds a useful charge or causes unexpected shutdowns.

  • SM-T500, SM-T503, SM-T505 compatibility: These three variants share the same internal chassis dimensions and charge IC. The connector pinout and BMS handshake protocol are identical across the range, so one cell covers all three without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on a SM-T505 unit. The BMS accepted the full 6800mAh charge without tripping, and the charge IC communicated cleanly with the tablet's power management controller throughout.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration after swap: After installing this battery, run the tablet down to automatic shutoff, then charge it uninterrupted to 100% before use. The Galaxy Tab A7's fuel gauge IC holds calibration data from the old cell. One full cycle against the new cell resets that data and corrects the percentage display.

Galaxy Tab A7 shutting down at 15–25% remaining

This happens because the display backlight and active WiFi together create a combined load that causes a rapid voltage drop at the cell's lower state-of-charge. When cell voltage sags below the BMS cutoff threshold — typically around 3.0V per cell — the tablet shuts off even though the percentage gauge still reads above zero. A degraded original cell hits this cliff earlier and earlier as capacity fades. A new 6800mAh cell restores the flat discharge curve, pushing that cutoff point back toward 0%.

Fast charging unavailable after battery replacement

The Galaxy Tab A7 uses USB-PD negotiation to enable fast charge. After a battery swap, the charge IC on the new cell needs at least one completed charge cycle before the tablet's power management firmware confirms the handshake and unlocks higher charge rates. If fast charging is missing immediately after install, complete one full charge from low to 100% using the original Samsung charger and cable. Check the charging indicator in Settings — fast charge should appear on the second cycle.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Galaxy Tab A7 is showing 60% battery but just switched off — is the new battery faulty?

The cell itself is almost certainly fine. The Galaxy Tab A7's fuel gauge IC was calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve, so it misjudges the voltage cliff on the new cell and triggers a shutdown before the percentage reaches zero. Run the tablet down to automatic cutoff on battery, then charge it uninterrupted to 100% without using the device. That single full cycle recalibrates the fuel gauge against the new 6800mAh cell and the shutdowns stop.

The percentage on my Tab A7 is dropping faster than it should — goes from 100% to 70% in an hour of light use.

This is fuel gauge drift — the charge IC is still mapping its discharge estimates against the old cell's capacity profile. It corrects itself after one proper recalibration cycle. Drain the tablet to automatic shutoff, then charge it continuously to 100% with the screen off or in airplane mode. After that cycle, the reported percentage drop rate will align with the actual 6800mAh capacity of the new cell.

My Tab A7 feels warm while charging after the battery swap — is the charge IC overloading the new cell?

Warmth during the first few charge cycles on a new lithium-polymer cell is normal and not a fault. The cell's internal resistance is slightly higher until it goes through initial formation cycles, which causes a small amount of additional heat. Surface temperature during charging should stay below 40°C — check it with the back of your hand against the tablet. If the tablet becomes hot to the touch or the charging cuts out before 100%, stop and check that the connector is seated fully and flat against the board.
