Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (B500BE)
This is a 3.7V, 1900mAh Li-ion cell that fits the Samsung GT-i9190, Galaxy S4 Mini, Galaxy S4 Mini LTE, and SGH-I257, among other variants. It replaces OEM part numbers B500BE, B500AE, B500BU, EB-B500BU, EB-B500BE, and GH43-03944A. If your S4 Mini is draining fast, shutting down unexpectedly, or no longer holding a charge, this cell addresses those issues directly.
- GT-i9190 and LTE variant compatibility: The GT-i9190 and its LTE sibling share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. One cell covers both variants without modification. The 69.10 × 50.90 × 4.20mm footprint matches the original cavity exactly.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through a full discharge-charge cycle on a GT-i9190. The BMS accepted the charge IC handshake on the first cycle, voltage held steady through screen-on and modem-active load, and the protection circuit tripped correctly at the low-voltage cutoff threshold.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge down to auto-shutdown, then charge to 100% uninterrupted. This gives the fuel gauge IC a clean reference curve against the new cell before any high-current charging session.
Why the S4 Mini reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap
The GT-i9190 uses a coulomb counter that builds its reference model from discharge data collected on the original cell. When a new cell goes in, the counter applies the old curve to a different cell chemistry and capacity signature — the percentage readout drifts. This is not a fault with the replacement cell. One full discharge-charge cycle with no interruptions resets the counter's baseline. After that cycle, percentage accuracy returns to normal behaviour.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% remaining on the S4 Mini
This happens when the cell voltage drops below the modem or display load threshold before the fuel gauge registers empty — a voltage cliff common on aged or freshly installed cells the OS hasn't calibrated to yet. The phone's software sees 25% remaining but the actual terminal voltage under load has already fallen below 3.4V. Run one full calibration cycle as described above. If shutdown persists after two full cycles, check that the battery contacts in the bay are clean and making full contact — oxidised pins add resistance that accelerates the voltage drop under load.

Frequently Asked Questions
The S4 Mini won't turn on at all after the new battery has been sitting in a drawer for a few months — is the cell dead?
It's likely in BMS lockout. If the cell discharged below approximately 2.5V during storage, the protection circuit cuts all output to prevent damage. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a PC port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC will trickle current into the cell until voltage climbs above the BMS recovery threshold, at which point the phone will boot or show the charging screen.
Fast charging stopped working on the first charge after I fitted the replacement battery — was there a fault during installation?
No fault. On the first cycle after a cell swap, the GT-i9190's charge controller runs a slow-rate identification pass before it will negotiate the higher current profile. This is normal BMS behaviour on an uncalibrated cell. Let the phone complete that first charge at standard rate without interrupting it. Fast charging becomes available from the second cycle onward once the controller has logged the cell's impedance signature.
The phone gets noticeably warm near the battery during the first few charges after fitting the new cell — is that normal?
Yes, for the first two to three cycles. A new high-impedance cell converts more energy to heat as the charge IC pushes current through it before internal resistance settles. Surface temperature above 40°C is worth monitoring — charge on a hard flat surface, not a soft surface that traps heat. By the third full cycle, impedance drops and the warmth reduces to normal levels.
