Fits Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 SM-T350 and replaces OEM battery EB-BT355ABA.
3.8V, 4200mAh lithium-polymer cell powers the 8-inch display and processor through full-day use cycles.
Connector slides straight into the battery slot with no locking tab — orientation marked on the device housing.
We ran three full charge cycles on the SM-T350; BMS accepted the cell without fault codes or voltage errors.
After installation, run one full discharge to automatic shutoff then charge uninterrupted to 100% — this resets the fuel gauge IC calibration against the new cell.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (EB-BT355ABA)

This 3.8V, 4200mAh Li-Polymer battery replaces the EB-BT355ABA cell in the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (SM-T350, SM-P350). It restores power to the 8-inch Android tablet when the original cell has degraded, swollen, or stopped holding a usable charge. Capacity matches the factory spec at 15.96Wh.

  • SM-T350 and SM-P350 compatibility: Both models share the same 3.8V battery bay, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — one cell fits the full production run of the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 across both Wi-Fi and LTE variants.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the SM-T350. The BMS accepted the charge profile without fault codes, and the protection circuit responded correctly to over-discharge cutoff at the expected low-voltage threshold.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration after install: After fitting this battery, run the tablet down to automatic shutoff — do not force it off — then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This gives the fuel gauge IC a full reference window against the new cell and clears the inaccurate percentage readings that commonly appear after a swap.

Galaxy Tab A 8.0 shutting down between 15–25% remaining

This happens because the display and Wi-Fi radio draw simultaneously during streaming or browsing, which creates a combined load spike the fuel gauge IC cannot anticipate accurately. The voltage drops sharply under that load — faster than the reported percentage suggests — and the BMS triggers a protective cutoff before the displayed figure reaches zero. It is more common with a new cell because the fuel gauge is still calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve. One complete discharge-to-shutoff followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% recalibrates the reference and typically resolves the early shutdown.

Fast charging unavailable after battery replacement on SM-T350

The SM-T350 uses Samsung's Adaptive Fast Charging protocol, which requires the charge IC and the battery's BMS to complete a successful handshake before the charger steps up to higher voltage. On a freshly installed cell, this negotiation sometimes fails on the first charge cycle because the BMS has no prior session data. Use the original Samsung charger — not a third-party USB-C adapter — and allow the first charge to complete fully without interruption. Fast charge availability typically restores from the second cycle onward once the handshake has been accepted.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Galaxy Tab A 8.0 shows 60% battery right after I installed the new cell — is the battery faulty?

The percentage is wrong, but the battery is not faulty. The fuel gauge IC on the SM-T350 is still calibrated to the discharge curve of the old cell, so its reading against the new cell is unreliable from the start. Run the tablet down to automatic shutoff without forcing it off, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. After that full cycle the fuel gauge recalibrates against the new cell and the reported percentage stabilises.

The tablet drops from 25% to dead with no warning during video playback — what's happening?

The combined load of the display backlight and Wi-Fi during streaming causes a voltage dip that the BMS reads as a hard low-voltage cutoff, even though the percentage gauge hasn't caught up yet. This is a voltage cliff under load, not a defective battery. It is most pronounced before the fuel gauge has run a full calibration cycle. Complete one full discharge-to-automatic-shutoff and one uninterrupted charge to 100% — the cutoff threshold typically stabilises after that reference cycle.

The Tab A 8.0 gets warm near the charging port while the new battery is charging for the first time — should I stop?

Warmth during the first few charge cycles on a new cell is expected. The charge IC on the SM-T350 runs at a slightly higher duty cycle while it establishes the new cell's impedance profile, which generates mild heat around the board. As long as the tablet is not hot to the touch and the charge indicator is progressing normally, continue charging. If the device becomes too hot to hold or the charge percentage stalls entirely, disconnect and check that you are using the original Samsung charger rated at 5V/2A or the Adaptive Fast Charge output.
