Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Schenker S1 Plus / VIA 15 — 11.55V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BATRPFIDG3-6102)
This is an 11.55V 7800mAh (90.09Wh) Li-Polymer replacement battery for the Schenker S1 Plus and VIA 15 notebooks. It replaces OEM part numbers BATRPFIDG3-6102, PFIDG-00-13-3S2P-0, and PFIDG-03-17-3S2P-0. It restores unplugged operation on laptops where the original cell has degraded or failed completely.
- S1 Plus and VIA 15 compatibility: Both models share the same 3S2P cell configuration, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — which is why these OEM part numbers cross-reference across both platforms. The battery management system talks to the same EEPROM interface on each chassis.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on a representative platform, confirming the BMS negotiated correctly, charge current tapered at the expected threshold, and no protection trips occurred during load transitions.
- Post-install calibration on the S1 Plus and VIA 15: After fitting this cell, run one full discharge down to hibernate cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% before unplugging again. This resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears after every cell swap on these Schenker models.
Why the S1 Plus shuts down at 20–30% remaining after a battery swap
The fuel gauge IC on the S1 Plus measures remaining capacity by tracking voltage curves calibrated to the original cell's discharge profile. A new cell has a slightly different curve, so the IC hits its low-voltage threshold earlier than the percentage shown on screen suggests. The laptop interprets that voltage floor as a system-critical cutoff and shuts down immediately. Running two or three full discharge-to-hibernate cycles lets the gauge IC re-map against the new cell's actual curve and eliminates the premature cutoff.
BIOS reporting battery health as "poor" or "replace soon" after fitting a new cell
This warning comes from EEPROM data the BIOS carried over from the degraded original cell — it does not reflect the new cell's actual condition. The BIOS battery learn cycle has not yet run against the replacement, so the stored charge-cycle count and capacity estimate are still tied to the old unit. Perform the calibration cycle described above: full discharge to hibernate cutoff, then a single uninterrupted charge to 100%. After that cycle completes, the BIOS re-reads the battery data and the warning clears.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Schenker S1 Plus shows the battery as 0% or "unknown" straight after fitting the new cell — is it faulty?
It is not faulty. The BIOS is still reading EEPROM state data from the previous cell and has not yet initialised against the new one. Connect the charger, let it reach 100% without interruption, then discharge fully to hibernate cutoff. After one complete cycle the BIOS re-initialises the battery register and the gauge reads correctly.
The system info screen shows the wrong Wh rating — it says 70Wh but the battery is rated 90.09Wh. Why?
The Wh figure displayed in Windows or the BIOS is pulled from the EEPROM on the cell, which stores the manufacturer's rated design capacity rather than the actual chemistry value of the replacement. The two numbers reference different calculation points and both can be technically correct for their respective sources. The discrepancy does not affect charging behaviour or available capacity. Confirm the physical label on the battery reads 90.09Wh — if it does, the cell is correct and no action is needed.
Charging stops at 80% and will not go higher — is the charger or the new battery causing this?
This is almost always a BIOS-controlled charge limit, not a battery or charger fault. Schenker notebooks expose a charge threshold setting in the BIOS or via the Control Center software that caps charging at 80% to reduce cell stress during mains-connected use. Check BIOS under the Power or Battery section and set the upper charge limit to 100%. Save and reboot — the next charge cycle will continue past 80%.
