Fits Sena SC-HR01, 10U-HR-01, 10U-AR-01 wireless headsets; replaces OEM part YP401225P.
3.7V, 80mAh Li-Polymer cell delivers the current draw needed for sustained DECT radio and audio transmission without sag.
Connector is a two-pin JST interface with polarity markings; slides into the battery slot with locking tab facing outward.
We bench-tested the cell under combined Bluetooth and intercom load; BMS accepted the pack on first insertion with no fault delay.
On first charge cycle, run the headset paired and docked in the base station — DECT headsets require a full charge-discharge loop before accurate talk-time readout updates.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Sena SC-HR01 / 10U Series — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (YP401225P)

This 3.7V, 80mAh Li-Polymer cell replaces part number YP401225P in the Sena SC-HR01, 10U-HR-01, and 10U-AR-01 motorcycle Bluetooth headsets. It matches the original cell's dimensions (26.00 × 11.74 × 4.20mm) and voltage rail exactly. Swap it when your headset no longer holds a charge or cuts out mid-ride.

  • SC-HR01, 10U-HR-01, and 10U-AR-01 compatibility: All three models share the same compact housing, 3.7V rail, and YP401225P cell footprint. The BMS in each unit expects the same voltage profile and physical connector, so one cell covers the full group.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the SC-HR01 platform. The onboard BMS accepted the pack without fault codes, balanced to 4.2V at full charge, and held the low-voltage cutoff at the expected threshold under combined Bluetooth radio and audio draw.
  • First-cycle base station logging: Seat the headset in its base station and run a complete charge cycle before your first call. The Sena base needs to log the new cell before its talk-time gauge reads accurately — skipping this step causes the indicator to misreport remaining capacity.

Why the SC-HR01 cuts out mid-call even with a new battery installed

The SC-HR01 draws simultaneously from the Bluetooth radio, the audio amplifier, and the intercom circuit. That combined peak draw can briefly pull cell voltage below the BMS cutoff threshold — especially on a fresh cell that hasn't completed a conditioning cycle. The BMS reads this voltage dip as a low-cell event and shuts the headset down to protect the cell. Running three to five full charge-discharge cycles brings internal resistance down and reduces the depth of those voltage sags during peak draw.

Base station shows charging but headset powers off after a few seconds

A replacement cell shipped at storage voltage (typically 3.6–3.7V) hasn't yet been logged by the base station's charge controller. The base may report a full or near-full charge before the cell has actually reached 4.2V, because it's reading stored state data from the previous cell. Leave the headset docked for a full uninterrupted charge cycle — until the base indicator confirms completion — before powering on. Once the charge controller has completed one full cycle with the new cell, the behaviour stops.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Sena SC-HR01 cuts out mid-call but the base showed it was fully charged — what's happening?

This is a voltage sag fault, not a capacity problem. The SC-HR01 pulls from the Bluetooth radio, intercom, and audio amp at the same time, and that combined peak draw can drag cell voltage below the BMS cutoff for a split second — enough to trigger a shutdown. It happens most on a new cell before internal resistance has dropped across a few cycles. Run three to five full charge-discharge cycles and the cutouts should stop.

Talk time is noticeably shorter than it was with my original battery — is something wrong with the new cell?

Nothing is wrong. Li-Polymer cells need conditioning cycles before they reach rated capacity — a fresh cell typically delivers 70–80% of its capacity on the first few uses. Each full charge-discharge cycle allows the electrolyte to fully wet the electrode surfaces, and capacity steps up incrementally over three to five cycles. By cycle five, the cell should be delivering close to its rated 80mAh.

The SC-HR01 feels warm during long intercom sessions — is that normal with a replacement cell?

Some warmth is expected. The SC-HR01 housing is small, and sustained intercom use keeps the Bluetooth radio and audio circuit active simultaneously, generating heat in a confined space. A replacement cell within spec won't run hotter than the original under the same load. If the headset becomes uncomfortable to touch or shuts down from heat rather than low voltage, check that the replacement cell's dimensions (26.00 × 11.74 × 4.20mm) match — an oversized cell pressed into the housing restricts airflow and traps heat.
