Fits Shark CH701, CH700WM, and Cyclone PET models with OEM part number CH700-2S1P.
7.4V and 2600mAh capacity delivers rated power to the motor without voltage sag during normal floor cleaning.
Connector seats into the battery slot with a single locking tab; verify the release lever clicks before operation.
We bench-tested this pack on a CH701 motor load — BMS accepted full charge cycle with no early cutoff.
Do not leave this battery on the charging dock permanently; continuous trickle charge degrades lithium capacity within weeks.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Shark CH701 / Cyclone PET / CH700WM — 7.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (CH700-2S1P)

This is a 7.4V 2600mAh Li-ion battery pack for the Shark CH701, Cyclone PET, and CH700WM cordless handheld vacuums. It replaces OEM part number CH700-2S1P. The pack slots into the vacuum's battery bay and powers the motor directly — no tools required to swap.

  • CH701, Cyclone PET, and CH700WM compatibility: These three models share the same 7.4V two-cell series configuration, identical battery bay dimensions, and the same BMS communication protocol. One pack covers all three.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through charge and discharge cycles on the CH701 platform. The BMS handled motor start-up current draw without tripping, and the cell voltage held stable across repeated suction cycles under load.
  • Dock charging on cordless handhelds: Do not leave the vacuum sitting on the charging dock permanently. Continuous trickle charge is one of the fastest ways to degrade Li-ion capacity in this class of device. Charge to full, then remove from the dock until the next use.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low

This happens when the motor draws more current than the BMS expects — usually caused by a partially blocked filter rather than a failing battery. Restricted airflow forces the motor to work harder, pulling current above its rated draw and causing voltage to sag at the cell level. The BMS reads this as a low-voltage condition and throttles output before the indicator LED registers it. Clean or replace the foam and HEPA filters before swapping the battery pack.

Motor cuts out mid-use then recovers after a short pause

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When suction is restricted — blocked filter, clogged inlet, or heavy carpet load — current spikes past the BMS cutoff threshold and the pack shuts output momentarily. Letting the vacuum sit for 30 seconds resets the BMS and restores power. Clear the blockage completely, then check that the filter is seated correctly. If the cutout repeats on a clear airpath, measure pack voltage under load — a healthy cell at 7.4V nominal should hold above 6.8V during motor start.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Shark CH701 loses suction halfway through cleaning but the battery light still shows full — what's happening?

This is voltage sag at the cell level, not a faulty charge indicator. A partially blocked filter forces the motor to pull more current than rated, which drops cell voltage under load even when the indicator reads full. The BMS throttles motor output to protect the cells before the LED catches up. Clean the foam and HEPA filters first — if suction restores, the battery is fine.

The vacuum cuts out after a few seconds on carpet, waits a moment, then starts again — is this a battery fault?

That cycling behaviour is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a failing cell. Heavy carpet creates high airflow resistance, which spikes motor current above the BMS cutoff threshold — the pack shuts output to protect the cells, then resets. Clear any blockage in the inlet and nozzle, then check the filter. If the cutout still repeats on a clear airpath, test pack voltage under load — it should hold above 6.8V during motor start.

The replacement battery doesn't charge at all on my Shark charger — the light just blinks and stops.

The Shark charger uses a BMS handshake to confirm it's talking to a compatible pack before it begins charging. If the handshake fails — usually from a momentary contact issue — the charger blinks and aborts. Remove the battery, wipe the contact pads on both the pack and the charger port with a dry cloth, then reseat firmly and reconnect the charger. If the blink pattern continues, check that the charger output is delivering 8.4V at the contacts — that's the correct charge voltage for a 7.4V two-cell Li-ion pack.
