Fits Shark WV200UK, WV200, WV201, WV205 handheld vacuums; replaces OEM part numbers XFBT200, XFBT200EU, XFBT200J.
10.8V, 2000mAh lithium-ion cell delivers full motor torque on carpet and upholstery without voltage sag until depletion.
Slides onto the Shark clip-dock connector with a positive lock tab; orientation is fixed by the slot.
We bench-tested this cell on the WV200UK motor load — BMS held steady through sustained suction cycles with no early cutoff.
Do not leave the vacuum on the charging dock permanently; continuous trickle charging accelerates capacity fade significantly faster than charge-and-remove cycles.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Shark WV200UK — 10.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery (XFBT200)

This is a 10.8V, 2000mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Shark WV200UK handheld cordless vacuum. It also fits the WV200, WV201, and WV205 models. Same voltage, same connector, same BMS handshake as the original XFBT200.

  • WV200 series compatibility: The WV200, WV201, and WV205 share the same 10.8V battery platform and connector housing. The BMS in each model expects the same cell voltage range and charge termination signal — a mismatched cell pack will either refuse to charge or cut out under motor load.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through full charge and discharge cycles on the WV200 platform. The BMS held cutoff correctly at low-cell threshold, and charge termination triggered cleanly without the charger locking out — common with aftermarket cells that spoof the handshake incorrectly.
  • Dock charging on the WV200 series: Do not leave the vacuum sitting on the charging dock permanently. Continuous trickle charging accelerates capacity fade on Li-ion cells in handheld vacuums faster than regular charge-and-remove cycles. Charge to full, then pull it off the dock.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator shows low

The WV200's suction motor draws significantly more current when the filter is partially blocked. A restricted airflow path forces the motor to work harder, pulling the cell voltage down faster than the indicator circuit registers. The battery indicator reads state-of-charge from resting voltage, not under-load voltage — so it can show two bars while the motor is already starving. Clean or replace the filter first, then retest suction under load.

Motor cuts out mid-use then recovers after a short pause

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dying battery. When the vacuum picks up a blockage or runs against dense carpet fibres, the motor draws a current spike that the BMS reads as a fault condition and shuts the pack down. After 10–30 seconds, the BMS resets and power returns. Clear any blockage from the nozzle and filter path, then test again — if the cutout stops, the cell is fine. If it persists on a clear filter, check that the replacement pack's BMS overcurrent threshold matches the OEM spec at 10.8V nominal.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Shark WV200 loses suction halfway through a clean even though the battery indicator still shows charged — what's causing that?

A partially blocked filter forces the motor to draw more current than rated, pulling cell voltage down under load even when the indicator reads healthy. The suction drop happens because the motor is voltage-starved, not because the battery is empty. Remove and rinse the foam and felt filters, let them dry fully, then run the vacuum again. If suction holds longer after that, the filter was the cause — not the cell.

My WV200UK motor keeps cutting out for a few seconds then coming back on — is the replacement battery faulty?

That pattern is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a faulty cell. A blockage at the nozzle or a clogged filter causes a current spike that the BMS reads as a fault and shuts down the pack momentarily. Check the nozzle inlet and filter for debris before assuming the battery is the problem. If it still trips on a clean filter, confirm the replacement pack carries the correct 10.8V nominal rating matching the XFBT200 spec.

The original Shark WV200 battery held a charge for much longer — could continuous dock charging have caused this?

Yes. Li-ion cells in handheld vacuums degrade faster when left on a continuous trickle charge between uses. The dock keeps feeding a small charge into cells that are already full, generating heat and accelerating capacity fade. Charge the battery to full and remove it from the dock rather than leaving it docked permanently. Switching to that routine with a fresh replacement cell will preserve capacity significantly longer than the original usage pattern.
