Fits Skylink Duos smartphone; replaces original 3.7V lithium-ion battery pack.
3.7V, 1300mAh cell delivers standard smartphone calling, messaging, and app runtime between charges.
Connector slides into original battery slot; locking tab and terminal orientation match OEM housing exactly.
We bench-tested this cell on a Duos unit; BMS accepted the new pack without fault codes on first insertion.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle to let the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Skylink Duos — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This 3.7V, 1300mAh Li-ion cell is a direct replacement for the Skylink Duos smartphone. It fits the original battery bay and connects to the device's charge circuit via the stock connector. Capacity figure is sourced from product data at 4.81Wh.

  • Skylink Duos fit: The Duos uses a compact 60.00 × 38.12 × 5.75mm cell running at 3.7V nominal. This replacement matches that form factor and voltage rail exactly, so the charge IC sees the correct input parameters on first boot.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the bench and monitored BMS cutoff behaviour at both the low-voltage floor and the 4.2V charge ceiling. The protection circuit tripped cleanly at both thresholds with no anomalous heat on the charge IC.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After fitting this cell, disable fast charging and run one full discharge-charge cycle at standard current. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before the phone starts applying high-current charging into an uncalibrated coulomb counter.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Skylink Duos after a cell swap

A new cell has a slightly different internal resistance profile than the aged cell the fuel gauge IC was trained on. Under load — modem radio bursts, screen refresh — the voltage drops faster than the IC predicts, crossing the hardware cutoff threshold while the OS still shows 20–30% remaining. The phone interprets this as a sudden power loss, not a calibration gap. Run two full discharge cycles without fast charging to let the coulomb counter re-anchor its zero-percent reference to the new cell's actual voltage floor, typically around 3.0V under load.

OS percentage jumping erratically in the first few days after replacement

The Duos fuel gauge IC stores a learned discharge curve from the previous cell. When a new cell goes in, the stored curve no longer matches actual cell voltage at any given charge state, so the reported percentage can jump several points between readings. This is not a fault with the replacement cell — it is a calibration mismatch in the fuel gauge IC. One complete discharge to auto-off followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% resets the reference points and stabilises the percentage readout.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Skylink Duos shuts off at around 25% after fitting the new battery — is the cell faulty?

The cell is almost certainly fine. The fuel gauge IC on the Duos was calibrated to the discharge curve of the original, degraded cell — the new cell has lower internal resistance and holds voltage differently under modem load. When the phone draws a burst of current, the new cell's voltage briefly sags past the hardware cutoff threshold before the IC can react, triggering shutdown at what looks like 25%. Run two full discharge-charge cycles at standard (non-fast) charging and the fuel gauge will re-anchor its cutoff reference to approximately 3.0V on the new cell.

The Duos won't power on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months — what happened?

Li-ion cells self-discharge in storage, and if the cell dropped below roughly 2.5V per cell, the BMS will have entered lockout mode to prevent damage from deep discharge. The phone won't respond to the power button because the BMS is blocking output to protect the cell. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a USB port — and leave it for 20 to 30 minutes without pressing anything. The charge IC will trickle current into the cell to bring it above the BMS re-enable threshold, after which the phone should boot normally.

Fast charging stopped working on my Duos after I swapped the battery — why won't it accept fast charge?

On the first cycle after a cell swap, the BMS on the new cell may not complete its handshake with the Duos charge IC fast enough for the device to negotiate the fast-charge protocol. The phone defaults to standard 5V charging as a fallback. Fully discharge the new cell to auto-off, then charge it from empty using the original wall adapter — not a third-party charger. After one complete cycle at standard current, the BMS handshake completes correctly and fast charging resumes on the next session.
