Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

SoftBank S31HT — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (BB92100)
This is a 3.7V Li-ion cell rated at 1100mAh (4.07Wh), built to fit the SoftBank S31HT smartphone. It replaces OEM part numbers BB92100, 35H00137-00M, and BA S430. If your S31HT shuts down unexpectedly, no longer holds charge, or won't power on, this cell is the direct swap.
- S31HT compatibility: The S31HT uses a compact 45.66 × 41.78 × 6.20mm cell format with a specific connector pinout. All three OEM part numbers reference the same physical cell and BMS handshake — this replacement matches that spec exactly.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the S31HT platform. The BMS accepted the charge IC handshake cleanly, and the protection circuit tripped correctly at the low-voltage cutoff threshold without false triggers during normal use.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first install, disable fast charging and run one full discharge-to-charge cycle. The S31HT's fuel gauge IC is calibrated to the previous cell's discharge curve — letting it map the new cell under a slow, steady cycle prevents the percentage counter from jumping erratically in the first week.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell
This is a voltage cliff issue, not a capacity problem. When the S31HT runs the modem and display simultaneously, current draw spikes sharply. If the fuel gauge IC hasn't mapped the new cell's discharge curve yet, it reads remaining capacity too optimistically. The cell voltage drops below the BMS cutoff threshold under load before the OS registers a low battery warning. Run one full discharge cycle without fast charging — let the phone reach 5% or below on its own — then charge to 100% to reset the coulomb counter baseline.
Battery percentage jumping erratically after install
The S31HT's fuel gauge IC stores a learned discharge model tied to the old cell's internal resistance profile. A new cell has a different impedance curve, so the IC miscalculates state-of-charge and reports jumpy or inconsistent percentages. This isn't a fault with the replacement cell — it's the gauge recalibrating. Complete two full discharge-charge cycles (slow charge, no fast charging) and the reported percentage will stabilise to within a few percent of actual capacity.

Frequently Asked Questions
My S31HT won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for months — is the cell dead?
It's likely a BMS lockout, not a dead cell. When a Li-ion cell self-discharges below approximately 2.5V per cell in storage, the battery management system trips a protection latch and blocks current output entirely. Plug the S31HT into a wall charger — not a PC USB port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. If the cell voltage recovers above the BMS threshold, the phone will begin showing a charging indicator and power on normally.
The S31HT feels noticeably warm near the battery area during the first few charges — is that a fault?
That's expected behaviour on a new high-impedance cell, not a defect. A fresh Li-ion cell has higher internal resistance than a broken-in one, so the charge IC dissipates slightly more energy as heat during the first several cycles. We observed this on the bench — surface temperature stayed within normal limits and dropped after three full charge cycles as internal resistance settled. If the phone feels hot to the touch or the charging indicator cuts out early, stop charging and check that the battery connector is fully seated.
Fast charging stopped working after I swapped the battery — the phone only charges slowly now.
Some proprietary charge protocols require a BMS authentication handshake on the first charge cycle after a cell swap. On the S31HT, if the charge IC doesn't receive the expected response from the new BMS immediately, it defaults to standard 5V charging as a fallback. Fully discharge the phone to below 10%, then charge from a wall adapter using the original SoftBank cable — not a third-party cable. Fast charging typically re-enables after one complete cycle once the charge IC has confirmed the BMS response.
