Fits Sonim Armor XP3400, XP1300, XP3 Quest, and VR-01 — replaces OEM part XP3.20-0001100, XP-0001100, BAT-01750-01 S, VR-01, RPBAT-01950-01-S.
This 3.7V, 1750mAh Li-ion cell delivers 6.48Wh to power the Armor XP3400 through extended field shifts without midday charging access.
Connector seats flush into the battery slot with positive terminal forward — locking tab engages on the lower edge when fully inserted.
We ran three full discharge cycles on the test unit; BMS accepted charge current without fault codes and held voltage steady under continuous modem load.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle — this lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell discharge curve before high-current charging.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Sonim Armor XP3400 / XP1300 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (BAT-01750-01)

This is a 3.7V, 1750mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Sonim Armor XP3400, XP1300, XP3 Quest, VR-01, and 24 additional Sonim models. It matches the original cell dimensions at 52.00 × 36.00 × 10.30mm. OEM part numbers covered include XP3.20-0001100, XP-0001100, BAT-01750-01 S, and RPBAT-01950-01-S.

  • XP3400 and XP1300 platform compatibility: These models share the same 3.7V single-cell architecture, connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol — which is why one cell covers the full lineup without modification or adapter wiring.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the XP3400 platform. The BMS accepted handshake on first connection, charge IC stepped through trickle, CC, and CV phases correctly, and the protection circuit tripped cleanly at the expected over-discharge threshold.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one full discharge-to-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging begins. Skipping this step is the leading cause of erratic percentage readings and early shutdowns on Sonim devices after a cell swap.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Sonim XP3400 after a cell swap

This happens because the fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve. When the modem transmits or the screen peaks, current draw spikes and the new cell's actual voltage drops below the protection threshold — even though the OS is still showing 20–30%. The phone cuts power to protect the cell, not because the cell is faulty. Run one full discharge cycle without fast charging to let the coulomb counter reset against the new cell's real capacity curve.

Phone warm near the battery during the first charge after replacement

A new cell starts with higher internal impedance than a conditioned one. The charge IC pushes current into a cell that hasn't yet settled its internal resistance, and that friction converts to heat. This is normal during the first one or two charge cycles and reduces as the cell's impedance drops. If warmth persists past the third full charge, check that the charge IC is not stuck in fast-charge mode — force a standard 5V/1A charge and monitor from there.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is my Sonim XP3400 showing the wrong battery percentage after I put in the new cell?

The fuel gauge IC in the XP3400 stores a discharge curve calibrated to the old cell — it doesn't auto-reset when you swap the battery. The coulomb counter is counting against the wrong baseline, so the percentage display is off from the start. Run one complete discharge down to auto-shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% with fast charging disabled. After that cycle, the fuel gauge recalibrates to the new cell and percentage readings stabilise.

My XP3400 won't power on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months — what's wrong?

If the cell discharged below roughly 2.5V in storage, the BMS has entered lockout mode to prevent damage to the cell. The phone won't respond to the power button or show any charging indicator at first. Connect it to a wall charger — not a USB port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without touching it. The charge IC will trickle-feed the cell back above the BMS recovery threshold, after which normal charging resumes and the phone will power on.

Fast charging stopped working on my Sonim after I swapped the battery — is the charger broken?

The charger is almost certainly fine. On the first cycle after a cell swap, the BMS on the new cell may not complete the USB negotiation handshake required to step up to fast-charge current — it defaults to standard 5V/1A as a safety fallback. Complete one full standard-rate charge cycle first. On the second cycle, plug into your fast charger and the BMS handshake should complete correctly, restoring fast-charge behaviour.
