Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Sony Ericsson Xperia C6502 / C6503 Series — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (LIS1501ERPC)
This 3.7V, 2300mAh lithium-polymer cell replaces the original LIS1501ERPC battery in the Sony Ericsson Xperia C6502, C6503, C6505, and C6506. It restores power to the processor, display stack, and wireless radios when the original cell can no longer hold adequate charge. Dimensions are 90.31 × 59.51 × 3.23mm — verify fitment before installation.
- Xperia ZL platform compatibility: The C6502, C6503, C6505, and C6506 all share the same battery bay dimensions, voltage rail, and connector pinout. One cell revision covers the full cluster — no modifications needed across these variants.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the Xperia ZL platform. The BMS handshake completed correctly, charge IC accepted the cell without fault codes, and protection circuits tripped at the expected voltage thresholds.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After fitting this cell, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge down to automatic shutdown, then charge to 100% uninterrupted. This gives the fuel gauge IC a clean reference curve against the new cell before high-current charging begins.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Xperia C6502 after a cell swap
The Xperia ZL's fuel gauge IC retains the discharge curve from the old, degraded cell. When a new cell is fitted, the IC misreads remaining capacity at the point the old cell used to sag. The modem radio and display draw spike current at around 20–30% reported charge, and if the IC hasn't recalibrated, it triggers a low-voltage shutdown even though actual cell voltage is fine. One full uninterrupted discharge-to-charge cycle corrects the coulomb counter and eliminates spurious shutdowns.
Phone not powering on after the replacement battery sat in storage
Lithium-polymer cells self-discharge during storage. If this cell dropped below 2.5V per cell before installation, the BMS enters lockout mode and blocks current flow to protect the cell from damage. Plugging in a charger with a normal cable may show no response for the first 10–15 minutes — this is the charge IC trickling current to recover the cell from below the BMS threshold. Keep the cable connected; once voltage climbs above 2.8V, the BMS re-enables and normal charging resumes.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Xperia C6502 shuts off at around 25% after I fitted this battery — is the cell faulty?
The cell is almost certainly fine. The fuel gauge IC on the Xperia ZL was calibrated against your old degraded cell's discharge curve, so it misreports capacity on a new cell and triggers an early shutdown when load spikes from the modem or display. Run one full discharge to automatic shutdown followed by a complete uninterrupted charge to 100%. That single cycle resets the coulomb counter and the early shutdowns stop.
The battery percentage on my C6502 is jumping around erratically — 60% one minute, 45% the next.
Erratic percentage readings mean the fuel gauge IC is actively recalibrating against the new cell's discharge curve. This is normal for the first one to three cycles after a cell swap on the Xperia ZL platform. The IC compares live voltage readings against a stored lookup table that no longer matches the new cell. Complete two full discharge-charge cycles without interruption and the readings will stabilise.
I plugged my Xperia C6503 in after fitting the new battery and nothing happened — no charging indicator, no boot.
If the replacement cell self-discharged in storage below approximately 2.5V, the BMS enters a lockout state and the phone shows no response at all when connected to a charger. Leave the cable connected to a wall adapter — not a PC USB port — for at least 15 minutes. The charge IC trickle-feeds current at a low rate until cell voltage climbs back above the BMS re-enable threshold of around 2.8V, after which normal charging resumes and the phone will boot.
