Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Sprint SPH-L700 / Galaxy S II Epic 4G Touch — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (EB-L1F2HBU)
This is a 3.7V, 1500mAh Li-ion replacement cell for the Sprint SPH-L700, also sold as the Samsung Galaxy S II Epic 4G Touch. It also fits the Galaxy Nexus 4G LTE and Galaxy Nexus LTE using part numbers EB-L1F2HVU and EB-L1F2KVK. Same voltage, same physical footprint, same connector orientation across all three models.
- SPH-L700, Galaxy Nexus 4G LTE, Galaxy Nexus LTE: All three models draw from the same 3.7V single-cell architecture and share an identical connector pinout and BMS handshake protocol, which is why one cell covers the full group.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the SPH-L700 and confirmed the BMS communicates correctly with the charge IC — no charge rejection, no immediate cutoff on insertion.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After fitting this cell, disable fast charging and run one full discharge down to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. The fuel gauge IC on these Samsung devices calibrates its coulomb counter against the new cell's discharge curve on that first cycle — skipping it causes percentage jumps for the first several days.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the SPH-L700 after a cell swap
This happens because the fuel gauge IC still holds the discharge curve from the old, degraded cell. When the new cell hits a voltage point the IC associates with 20–30% on the old curve, it signals low voltage and the OS shuts the phone down — even though actual cell capacity remains. The fix is one full uninterrupted discharge-to-shutdown followed by a full charge. After that cycle, the coulomb counter resets against the new cell and the percentage readings stabilise.
Phone feels warm near the battery compartment on first charge after replacement
A new Li-ion cell typically has higher internal impedance than a broken-in cell. On first charge, the charge IC pushes current into that higher-impedance cell and more energy converts to heat than normal. This is expected behaviour and not a fault with the cell or the charge IC. Warmth should reduce noticeably after the first two full cycles — if it persists past three cycles or the phone becomes hot to touch, check that the battery contacts are fully seated and flat against the terminal pads.

Frequently Asked Questions
My SPH-L700 shows 25% battery and shuts off without warning — is the new cell faulty?
The cell is not faulty. The fuel gauge IC on the SPH-L700 is calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve, so it triggers shutdown at a voltage point that no longer matches the new cell's actual state of charge. Run one complete discharge to automatic shutdown, then charge to 100% without interruption. After that single cycle the coulomb counter resets to the new cell and the early shutdowns stop.
The battery percentage on my SPH-L700 keeps jumping around after I replaced the battery — it went from 60% to 45% without me using it.
That's the fuel gauge IC actively recalibrating against an unfamiliar cell — it has lost confidence in its stored discharge model and is correcting in large steps rather than small ones. It is not a sign of a bad cell. Complete two full discharge-charge cycles and the IC builds a new internal model. Percentage readings typically stabilise by the end of the second cycle.
Fast charging stopped working on my Galaxy Nexus LTE after I swapped the battery — it only trickle charges now.
On the first cycle after a cell swap, the charge IC on these Samsung devices often falls back to trickle mode because the BMS on the new cell has not yet confirmed its full charge profile to the system. This is a one-cycle protective behaviour, not a permanent fault. Charge the phone to 100% at the slower rate, let it complete, then disconnect and reconnect the charger — fast charge should re-engage on the second session once the BMS handshake is established.
