Fits Stiga Autoclip 720s, 920s, 125, 127 robotic mowers; replaces OEM part 1126-9121-01.
25.2V and 13800mAh capacity delivers consistent blade motor torque across dense turf without mid-cycle sag.
Connector locks into slot on mower chassis with indexed alignment tab; no force needed on insertion.
We bench-tested the BMS under blade stall load—cell accepted full-draw current without thermal cutoff on first charge cycle.
If the mower cuts out mid-row then resumes, stop and allow five minutes cooldown; thermal protection is active.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Stiga Autoclip 720s / 920s Series — 25.2V Li-ion Replacement Battery (1126-9121-01)

This is a 25.2V 13800mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Stiga Autoclip robotic lawn mower range. It fits the Autoclip 720s, 920s, 125, and 127 models, all of which share the same battery bay, connector, and BMS communication protocol. Capacity is 13800mAh (347.76Wh), matching the original Stiga part 1126-9121-01.

  • Autoclip 720s, 920s, 125, and 127 compatibility: These four models run the same 25.2V battery platform with an identical physical footprint, locking tab arrangement, and BMS handshake signal. One battery covers all four without any modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through charge and discharge cycles on the Autoclip platform. The BMS communicated correctly with the mower's charge controller, accepted a full charge without fault codes, and delivered consistent voltage through the blade motor start surge.
  • Seasonal storage tip: Before putting the mower away for winter, bring the battery indoors and store it at 50–70% charge. Li-ion cells left in an unheated garage below 5°C over several months will self-discharge toward the BMS lockout threshold — and the charger may refuse the pack come spring.

Charger showing a fault light after the mower sat in the garage all winter

Stiga's charger checks pack voltage before it begins a charge cycle. If cells have discharged below roughly 18V over winter, the charger reads the pack as faulty and refuses to start. This is a BMS protection state, not a dead battery. Many packs can be recovered by using a compatible Li-ion charger with a recovery or boost mode to raise cell voltage above the acceptance threshold — typically 21V — before the main charge cycle begins.

Mower cuts out mid-row through thick or wet grass, then restarts after a few minutes

The blade motor draws a spike of current each time it hits dense or waterlogged grass. If that spike exceeds the BMS current threshold — more likely in a pack with aged cells — the BMS trips to protect the cells and the mower stops. The mower will restart once the BMS resets, usually after 3–5 minutes. A new pack with fresh cells handles the inrush better because internal resistance is lower, so the voltage sag during the spike stays within the BMS window.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Stiga Autoclip charger blinks a fault code and won't charge the new battery — what's happening?

The Autoclip charger performs a voltage handshake before it starts charging. If the replacement pack arrived partially discharged from transit and sits below the charger's acceptance threshold (around 21V), the charger will reject it immediately. Leave the battery at room temperature for a few hours and try again — ambient temperature affects resting voltage on Li-ion cells. If the fault persists, check that the battery contacts are fully seated in the charging dock; a partial connection produces the same fault light.

The mower cuts out halfway through a mowing session in thick grass and recovers on its own — is the battery failing?

This is thermal or current protection, not battery failure. When the blade motor hits a patch of dense or wet grass, the current draw spikes sharply. If that spike causes the pack voltage to sag past the BMS cutoff point, the mower stops to protect the cells. Allow 5 minutes before restarting — the BMS resets once the pack stabilises. If it happens repeatedly on normal grass, check that the blade is sharp; a blunt blade draws significantly more current than a fresh one.

The Autoclip loses noticeable cutting power on the first cold morning of spring — is the battery faulty?

No — this is normal Li-ion behaviour below 10°C. Cold cells have higher internal resistance, which means voltage sags harder under the blade motor's start-up load. The mower's electronics interpret that sag as a low-battery condition and reduce output or stop the blades. Bring the battery indoors the night before the first spring run and let it reach at least 15°C before fitting it. Power output will be normal once the cells are at operating temperature.
