Fits SVP CyberSnap-901, CyberSnap-LS, and DC-12V series; replaces OEM part GBLi885-7 and NV1.
This 3.7V, 900mAh cell delivers 3.33Wh to the CyberSnap platform — matches original capacity and voltage window.
Connector seats flush against the battery bay contact plate; no locking tab, straight insertion and removal.
We bench-tested this cell in the CyberSnap-901 charging circuit; BMS accepted handshake on first insertion and held stable voltage under modem load.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one full discharge-charge cycle to let the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

SVP CyberSnap-901 Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (GBLi885-7)

This is a 3.7V, 900mAh (3.33Wh) Li-ion replacement cell for the SVP CyberSnap-901, CyberSnap-LS, DC-12V, DC-12V-2, and compatible models. It fits the original battery slot and connects to the same charge management circuit. Use this when the original cell no longer holds a usable charge or fails to power the device through normal use.

  • CyberSnap-901 and LS series fit: These models share the same 3.7V single-cell architecture, connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol — one cell works across the listed variants without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge under load matching the CyberSnap's screen and processor draw. The BMS accepted the cell, completed charge termination correctly, and held voltage within spec across the full discharge curve.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After installing this cell, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle at standard rate. The fuel gauge IC on the CyberSnap-901 is calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve — one full cycle at low current lets it remap against the new cell before high-current charging begins.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the CyberSnap after a cell swap

A new Li-ion cell has a slightly different voltage-discharge curve than the degraded cell it replaces. The CyberSnap's fuel gauge IC still expects the old curve, so it reads 25% remaining while the actual cell voltage has already dropped below the modem and display load threshold. The processor detects an undervoltage condition and shuts down before the gauge reaches zero. One full calibration cycle — drain to auto-off, then charge uninterrupted to 100% — rewrites the gauge's reference curve and stops premature shutdowns.

CyberSnap-901 not powering on after the replacement battery sat in storage

Li-ion cells self-discharge during storage. If this cell sat long enough to drop below approximately 2.5V, the BMS enters a lockout state to prevent damage and the phone will not respond to a normal power-on press. Connect the device to a wall charger — not a USB port — and leave it for 15–20 minutes without pressing any buttons. The charge IC delivers a low-current trickle that recovers the cell voltage above the BMS re-enable threshold. Once the screen shows a charge indicator, normal charging resumes.

Frequently Asked Questions

The CyberSnap-901 keeps shutting off at around 25% battery — is this a faulty cell?

It is not a faulty cell. The fuel gauge IC on the CyberSnap-901 is calibrated to the discharge curve of the original, degraded battery. The new cell hits a voltage drop under screen or modem load at a point the gauge still reads as 25%. Run one full cycle — drain until the phone auto-shuts off, then charge straight to 100% without interruption. After that cycle the gauge recalibrates and shutdowns at partial charge stop.

The battery percentage on my CyberSnap-901 jumps around erratically after I installed this replacement — what's happening?

The coulomb counter inside the phone's fuel gauge IC accumulated error over years of tracking the old cell. When a new cell goes in, the stored reference data no longer matches the actual charge state, so the displayed percentage jumps. The fix is a single uninterrupted calibration cycle: drain the phone to auto-off under normal use, then charge to 100% at standard rate with the screen off. One cycle is usually enough to anchor the counter to the new cell's capacity.

The phone feels warm near the battery compartment during the first few charges — should I be concerned?

Mild warmth during early charging cycles on a new cell is normal. A fresh high-impedance Li-ion cell causes the charge IC to work slightly harder as internal resistance drops over the first two or three cycles. If the warmth becomes hot to the touch or the phone throttles performance, stop charging and let the device cool to room temperature before reconnecting. After the first three full cycles, surface temperature during charging should return to the same level as the original cell.
