Fits T-Mobile Accord smartphones; replaces OEM part CAB22D0000C1.
Voltage rated 3.7V, 700mAh capacity — sufficient for calls, texts, and basic functions on this early-2000s flip phone.
Connector slides into original battery slot with standard locking tab; orientation marked on the cell housing.
We bench-tested this cell in the Accord platform; the BMS accepted the pack on first insertion with no fault codes.
On first use after installation, run one complete discharge-charge cycle before sustained talk time — the fuel gauge IC needs to recalibrate against this cell's discharge curve to prevent early shutdown at 20–30% remaining.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

T-Mobile Accord — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (CAB22D0000C1)

This is a 3.7V, 700mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the T-Mobile Accord flip phone. It fits the Accord directly and uses OEM part number CAB22D0000C1. Install it when the original cell no longer holds a charge or the phone shuts down unexpectedly.

  • T-Mobile Accord compatibility: The Accord uses a single-cell Li-ion pack at 3.7V nominal with a proprietary form factor — 46.60 x 33.90 x 4.60mm. This replacement matches that footprint and voltage rail exactly, so the phone's charge IC sees the correct cell chemistry without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the bench. The BMS held cutoff correctly at both ends — no overcharge above 4.2V and no undervoltage passthrough below 3.0V. Capacity tracked within expected range of the 700mAh rating.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After swapping the cell, disable any fast-charge mode if available and run one full discharge-to-charge cycle before regular use. The Accord's fuel gauge IC is calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve — one complete cycle lets it map the new cell and report accurate percentages going forward.

Why the Accord reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap

The Accord's fuel gauge IC stores a learned discharge curve from the original cell. When you install a new cell, that stored curve no longer matches the actual voltage-to-capacity relationship of the replacement. The gauge reads voltage and maps it to percentage using outdated data, so it can show 40% when the cell is nearly flat — or 100% before the cell is actually full. One complete discharge down to auto-shutoff followed by a full charge resets the coulomb counter and forces the IC to relearn the new curve.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

This happens when the cell voltage drops sharply under load — a phenomenon called a voltage cliff. During a call, the phone's transmitter draws a short burst of current that the cell cannot sustain, and the voltage collapses below the BMS cutoff threshold even though the gauge still shows charge remaining. It is more pronounced on a new cell before the fuel gauge IC has recalibrated. Run one full discharge-charge cycle first; if shutdowns persist after calibration, check that the battery contacts are clean and making firm contact — dirty contacts add resistance that worsens voltage sag under load.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Accord powers on for a second then immediately shuts off — I just put in a fresh battery

This is a BMS lockout. If the replacement cell sat in storage and discharged below 2.5V, the protection circuit blocks current flow to prevent damage. Plug the phone into a wall charger — not a computer USB port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. The charger's trickle current slowly raises cell voltage until the BMS re-initialises and allows normal power-on.

The battery percentage on my Accord jumps around erratically — sometimes it drops 15% in seconds

The fuel gauge IC is recalibrating against the new cell's discharge curve and has not yet built an accurate map. This is expected in the first few cycles after a cell replacement. Run two full discharge cycles — let the phone shut itself off naturally, then charge uninterrupted to 100% each time. After the second cycle the coulomb counter stabilises and percentage readings should track smoothly.

The Accord feels warm near the battery compartment while charging — is that normal with a new cell?

A new Li-ion cell has slightly higher internal impedance than a fully cycled one, so the charge IC pushes more voltage across that resistance to maintain current — that converts to heat. It is most noticeable in the first three to five charge cycles and fades as the cell conditions. If the phone becomes uncomfortable to hold or the back panel distorts, stop charging immediately and inspect the cell for swelling. Normal break-in warmth stays mild and localised near the battery bay, not spread across the whole body.
