Fits T-Mobile G2 smartphone, replaces OEM part numbers BA S450, 35H00140-00M, and 35H00140-01M.
3.7V, 1000mAh lithium-ion cell delivers stable voltage throughout the discharge curve for calls and standby.
Connector seats flush into the battery slot with positive terminal facing outward; no locking tab required.
We bench tested this cell on a G2 unit — BMS accepted the charge cycle without fault codes or early shutoff.
On first full charge-discharge cycle after installation, disable fast charging to let the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell's discharge profile before resuming normal charging speed.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

T-Mobile G2 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (BA S450)

This is a 3.7V, 1000mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the T-Mobile G2 smartphone. It replaces OEM part numbers BA S450, 35H00140-00M, and 35H00140-01M. Fit the G2 when the original cell no longer holds a usable charge through a normal day of calls, messaging, and standby.

  • G2 battery bay fit: The G2 uses a removable 3.7V single-cell Li-ion pack with a five-pin connector. The BMS handshake on this pack matches the G2's charge IC, so the phone recognises the cell and passes the authentication check on boot.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through full charge-discharge cycles on the G2 and confirmed the BMS reports state-of-charge correctly to the OS. Charge IC accepted the cell without triggering a safety cutoff.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated cell — prevents erratic percentage readings from the first charge onward.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the G2 after a cell swap

The G2's fuel gauge IC retains the discharge curve from the previous cell. When the curve doesn't match the new cell, the IC predicts a voltage floor that doesn't exist — the phone shuts down before the actual charge is depleted. This happens because the coulomb counter is calibrated to the old cell's internal resistance profile. One full discharge to automatic shutdown followed by a full charge resets the curve. After that cycle, the percentage reading stabilises and the early-shutdown behaviour stops.

G2 not powering on after the replacement battery sat in storage

Li-ion cells self-discharge in storage. If the cell dropped below 2.5V per cell, the BMS trips a lockout to prevent charging a deeply discharged cell at full current. Plugging into a wall charger and leaving it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button allows the charge IC to trickle-charge the cell back above the BMS recovery threshold, typically 2.9V. Once the cell clears that threshold, the BMS unlocks, the phone accepts a normal charge rate, and the device powers on.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is my T-Mobile G2 showing the wrong battery percentage after I put in the new battery?

The fuel gauge IC on the G2 is still calibrated to the discharge curve of the old cell. The coulomb counter is reading voltage against a profile that doesn't match the new cell's internal resistance. Run one full discharge — let the phone shut itself off — then charge uninterrupted to 100% without fast charging enabled. After that single cycle, the IC recalibrates and the percentage display tracks accurately.

The G2 is warm near the battery compartment while charging the new cell — is that normal?

A new Li-ion cell has higher internal impedance than a broken-in cell, so the charge IC works harder on the first few cycles and generates more heat. This is normal and reduces after three to five full cycles as the cell's impedance settles. If the phone stays warm well past the first few cycles, check that the charge IC isn't stuck in a fast-charge mode — drop to a standard 5V/1A charger and confirm the heat reduces.

My T-Mobile G2 shuts off at around 25% charge even though the new battery should have more left — what's causing this?

This is a voltage cliff failure — under the load of the modem or screen, the new cell's voltage drops faster than the fuel gauge IC predicts, hitting the low-voltage cutoff before the displayed percentage reaches zero. The fix is a single full recalibration cycle: discharge the phone to automatic shutdown, then charge fully to 100% at a standard charge rate without interruption. Check that the resting voltage reads at least 3.7V before that cycle to confirm the cell isn't already deep-discharged.
