Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

T-Mobile Shadow Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (35H00102-00M)
This 3.7V, 950mAh Li-ion cell replaces the original battery in the T-Mobile Shadow, Shadow Copper, and Copper Sage. The original OEM part numbers are 35H00102-00M and KII0160. When the stock cell degrades and the phone no longer holds a usable charge, this unit slots in as a direct swap.
- Shadow, Shadow Copper, and Copper Sage compatibility: All three variants share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and 3.7V voltage rail. The BMS handshake protocol is identical across the lineup, so one cell covers all three without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through full charge and discharge cycles on the Shadow platform. The BMS accepted the cell without error flags, and the charge IC stepped through trickle, bulk, and termination phases correctly.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After installation, run one complete discharge down to auto-shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This gives the fuel gauge IC a clean reference curve against the new cell — skip this step and the percentage readout will be off from day one.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the T-Mobile Shadow after a cell swap
The Shadow's fuel gauge IC was calibrated to the discharge curve of the original aged cell. A fresh cell holds a higher voltage at low state-of-charge than the worn cell the IC was trained on. When load spikes from the radio stack or display hit, the IC sees a voltage drop it interprets as empty and triggers a shutdown — even though capacity remains. One full discharge-to-shutoff cycle followed by a full charge resets the coulomb counter against the new cell's actual curve and eliminates this behaviour.
Phone shows incorrect battery percentage after replacement cell installed
The fuel gauge IC on the Shadow stores a learned discharge curve from the previous cell. A new 950mAh cell with lower internal impedance reports different voltage at each charge level than the old degraded unit. The IC maps those voltage readings to percentage using the old curve, so the number on screen drifts — often reading 80% then jumping to 95%, or dropping from 40% straight to 5%. Force a full charge to 100% without interruption, then drain fully to auto-shutoff, and the IC will recalibrate to 3.7V nominal at the correct reference points.

Frequently Asked Questions
My T-Mobile Shadow powers off by itself around 25% battery — is the replacement cell faulty?
The cell is not faulty. The Shadow's fuel gauge IC is calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve, and a fresh 950mAh cell holds a higher voltage at low charge than the worn original. Under radio or screen load, voltage dips faster than the IC expects and it triggers a shutdown. Run one full drain to auto-shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%, and the coulomb counter will recalibrate against the new cell.
The Shadow won't power on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months — what happened?
The cell discharged below the BMS lockout threshold, which on Li-ion cells is around 2.5V per cell. Below that point the BMS opens the protection circuit and blocks normal charging to prevent damage. Connect the phone to a known-good charger and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing any buttons — the charge IC will trickle current in at a low rate to bring the cell above the recovery threshold before switching to normal charge current.
The battery percentage on my Shadow jumps around erratically — goes from 60% to 85% and back without me doing anything. What's causing it?
This is the fuel gauge IC recalibrating against a new cell it has no reference data for. The IC uses stored voltage-to-capacity mapping from the previous cell, and when it sees voltage readings that don't match, it corrects in visible jumps. Perform one uninterrupted full discharge to auto-shutoff, then charge to 100% without unplugging early. After that single cycle the IC builds a new baseline and the percentage readout stabilises.
