Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

T-Mobile Vibrant / Galaxy S 4G — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (EB575152VU)
This is a 3.7V, 1250mAh Li-ion battery for the T-Mobile Samsung Vibrant, SGH-T959W, Galaxy S 4G, and Vibrant 4G. It replaces OEM part numbers EB575152VU, EB575152VA, and EB575152LA. If your original cell no longer holds a charge or the phone won't power on, this is the direct swap.
- Vibrant and Galaxy S 4G platform fit: These models share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — one cell covers all variants on this platform without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on a Vibrant unit. The BMS communicated correctly with the phone's fuel gauge IC, and charge termination triggered at the expected 4.2V ceiling with no false cutoff.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After installation, run one full discharge to automatic shutdown, then charge to 100% without interruption. The Vibrant's fuel gauge IC needs this cycle to map the new cell's discharge curve — skipping it causes the percentage counter to read inaccurately from the first day.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Vibrant after a cell swap
The Vibrant's PMIC uses voltage thresholds from the previous cell's discharge curve to decide when to shut down. A new cell has a steeper voltage drop near depletion than an aged cell, so the phone hits its low-voltage cutoff while the display still shows 20–30% remaining. This is a fuel gauge calibration mismatch, not a defective battery. Run one complete discharge-to-shutdown, then a full uninterrupted charge. After that cycle, the coulomb counter recalibrates and the reported percentage lines up with actual remaining capacity.
Phone warm near the battery compartment during the first charge
A new high-impedance cell draws charge current against elevated internal resistance, which generates more heat than a broken-in cell. On the Vibrant, the charge IC doesn't throttle current on first insertion — it pushes the full charge profile immediately. This is normal for the first one or two cycles and settles as internal resistance drops. If the back cover stays hot after two full charge cycles, check that the cell is seated flat with no gap along the connector edge, as poor contact increases resistance further.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why does my Vibrant show 25% battery and then shut off with no warning after I put in the new battery?
The fuel gauge IC on the Vibrant is still using the discharge curve it mapped to your old, degraded cell. A new cell's voltage drops more sharply at the low end, so the phone's low-voltage cutoff fires while the display still shows charge remaining. Run the new cell all the way down until the phone shuts itself off, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. After one complete cycle, the coulomb counter resets its reference curve and the shutdowns stop.
The replacement battery won't charge past about 80% — charging just stops early. Is the cell faulty?
This is usually the Vibrant's charge IC misreading termination voltage against an uncalibrated cell. On the first cycle, the IC can trip charge-complete early because the new cell's voltage response doesn't match the stored profile. Let the battery drain fully to automatic shutdown, then plug in and leave it untouched until the indicator shows 100%. If it still terminates early after two full cycles, check the four contact pins on the battery for oxidation and clean them with a dry cloth before reseating.
My Vibrant won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months before I installed it.
Li-ion cells self-discharge in storage, and if the cell dropped below approximately 2.5V, the BMS enters a lockout state to prevent damage from deep discharge. The phone won't respond to the power button and may show nothing when plugged in for the first minute or two. Connect it to a wall charger — not a PC port — and leave it for 15–20 minutes without pressing anything. The charge IC trickle-charges the cell back above the BMS recovery threshold, at which point normal charging resumes and the phone will power on.
